Puppy has the understanding of eating vegetarian food and worshiping Buddha for morning classes

Fushan Temple in Changhua City, Taiwan adopted four stray dogs. They have been eating vegetarian food since childhood and have a gentle temperament. They will follow the nuns to the Buddhist temple for morning classes. The four dogs stay at their posts. When they see believers bringing gifts and offerings into Fushan Temple, they will shook their tails to greet them. If the believers want to take away the items in the Buddhist temple, the four dogs will not let go and will chase and bite them all the way.

Master Jueju, the abbot of Fushan Temple, said that Buddhism treats life based on the concept of equality of sentient beings, and some people use this to abandon their dog in front of the temple.A few years ago, someone took the dog to the gate of Fushan Temple and abandoned it. The nuns in the temple couldn't bear it and took it back to take care of them. At most, they took care of eighteen stray dogs at the same time. The nuns called them "eighteen Arhats".

The four stray dogs currently adopted by Fukuyama Temple have been abandoned since their puppies. The temple arranged for nuns to take turns to take care of stray dogs as "living caregivers". The four dogs seemed to be grateful and had a gentle temperament. They dared not bark in Fukuyama Temple and would welcome guests and see them off.

Master Miaoquan, who often takes care of four dogs, said that the four dogs are very spiritual and have completely different personalities. She named three of them "Laixiang", "Laidong" and "Laixiang". They are all "Lai" generation, and the other one is black and shiny all over, so they are called "Xiaohei".

Master Miaoquan said that all four dogs often follow the monks to the Buddhist temple for morning classes. "Lai Winter" would sit quietly outside the hall to "listen to the class", and "Lai Xiang" also sat quietly outside the hall, and with the sound of chanting sutras, it kept making "sounding" sounds. Master Miaoquan said, listen carefully, "Lai Xiang" seemed to be chanting the Buddha's name.

All four dogs like to scatter sedan chairs. Master Miaoquan analyzed that "Laixiang" used his butt to hit someone, which was scattering sedan chairs;"Xiao Hei" often sneaks away when the nun or believers are not paying attention to chanting scriptures.Master Miaoquan said that "Xiao Hei" is not really a bite, but just a naughty and show kindness;"Lai Xiang" likes to take a bath. When the "living protector" bathes for him, "Lai Xiang" is often intoxicated and once he was washed until he fell asleep.

Master Miaoquan said that although the four dogs are gentle in personality, they still adhere to the duty of "dogs". When guests come to bring gifts or offerings, the dogs will waggle their tails to greet them. If someone takes the items from Fushan Temple with the company of the infinite nun, the four dogs will pay back their duties, but the other party will not return them, and the dogs will bite them back.
