Dear masters, good afternoon! Let’s continue to discuss the “Scientific View of the Universe of the Huayan Sutra”.We talked about the explanations of the action beyond distance and the holographic theory discovered by physicists yesterday. In fact, these theories are indeed similar to the view of Dharma Realm mentioned in the "Avatamsaka Sutra".Yesterday we talked about the seventh question, "Distance Effect and Holographic Theory", and introduced what holographic photography is. One of the most important features of holographic photos is that no matter how many copies you cut the photos into, each copy will contain the entire photo. As long as we reflect the photos with a laser, we can get a three-dimensional photo. It is different from the photos we usually take with a camera. It requires laser to make it appear.
So physicists mainly DavidBohm, It is the holographic theory proposed by Pomer and others to explain our universe. The main core idea of this holographic theory is that the whole is contained in the part. This concept may be different from the concept of thinking that ordinary people have, especially these Western scientists have historically had a prejudice that to understand a certain thing or phenomenon, one must use decomposition methods. For example, biology needs to understand what a frog looks like, and you have to use anatomy to study various parts of the frog to understand the whole. This concept of decomposing the whole into a local area has gradually been unable to interpret the entire universe.Let's take a look at how this holographic theory proposed and established by Pomer and others interprets this universe? Pomer believes that the particles of atoms can keep in touch with each other. He is mainly based on this phenomenon of extreme distance discovered by Professor Asparkt. No matter how far apart the two particles can transmit signals almost at the same time, as if the distance has been exceeded, or the speed of transmission of these information has exceeded the speed of light. In fact, Pom explained that it is not because they are emitting these signals from each other, but because their separation is actually an illusion, not real, in a deeper reality, these particles are actually an indivisible whole, but a phenomenon in which they project from this indivisible whole into our three-dimensional space. So why when a particle changes its movement mode, another particle far apart can change its movement mode almost at the same time? This is like a holographic photo. You cut a whole into two parts, just like two particles. In fact, the movement mode of the two particles also reflects the phenomenon of the whole whole.
In order to make it easier for us to understand this theory, Pomer used an example to say that if we imagine that there is such an aquarium, like a fish swimming in a large goldfish tank, next to the aquarium, there are two cameras facing the fish.Suppose you can't see the fish in the aquarium at this time, but you can only observe the fish on the TV monitor through the signals transmitted by the camera. Because these two cameras are taken from different angles, on the screens of the two TVs, you will see that the two fish swim and their activity states are different. In your eyes, what you see is two different fish. In fact, the fish shown in these two TVs are the same fish.If you don't understand this truth, you will find that when the fish on one TV is moving, the fish on the other TV will also make movements accordingly. Although their movements are not exactly the same, because the camera is taken from different angles, you will find that the two fish will inevitably have a connection between each other, just like there is a kind of information transmission between these two fish, one fish is transmitted to another, and this information becomes super-light speed, from one space to another, and the distance seems to have been surpassed. This is the so-called hyper-distance effect. In essence, they are not two spaces. Their real truth is this fish. It does not mean that there is any so-called teleocial induction between these two fish. No, the real truth is that the two fishes show two different appearances in the same whole.
So after we understand this truth, we can understand that we cannot regard the two particles in the Asparkt experiment as two separate individuals, but these two particles represent a same whole, just an image of this whole in two spaces. This whole has the so-called holographic structure, like a holographic photo. If you divide the photos, the activities and images on each photo are completely projected by the whole. So based on this concept, Pomer boldly proposed that our entire universe is actually a whole, and these phenomena in different spaces are all projections of this same whole. So the entire universe is actually a holographic illusion, like a big, holographic photo. This theory has indeed alarmed many physicists because, if the separation of these subatomic particles on the surface is just an illusion, not a real separation, but in the deeper level of reality, the entire universe is interconnected, and all things in the entire universe are interconnected and are all the same whole; in other words, one of the cells in our human brains may be related to a hydrogen atom on the sun, and the oxygen molecule we are sucking into the mouth now may be interconnected with a neutrino outside the Milky Way; in other words, under this theory, the entire universe is related to each other like a flawless giant net, forming the same whole.
In such a holographic universe, time and space are actually not unchanging, like we talked about this issue in our previous two speeches.Physicists also discovered that time and space are variable, why is it variable? Although relativity has an interpretation, the theoretical assumption established by relativity itself has also been overturned. What theory can explain that time and space are unchanged? Holographic theory is a very perfect explanation.Because in a whole universe that is impossible to separate from each other, the so-called concept of position and space have been dissolved, and time also belongs to space, the fourth degree of space. If this universe is a unified whole of the past, present and future, of course time itself has no meaning. Therefore, time and space have become an abstract concept and are not real, so it is easy to explain in holographic theory. Therefore, in such a super holographic cosmic illusion, we can imagine that all living things, plants, minerals, and spaces, as well as the past, present and future, are all a unified community of life.Theoretically, as long as we have the appropriate tools, we can use this holographic photography technology to enter ancient images, to enter future images, and to cross infinite space to another world.
All these things contained in this universe, from nebula to micro particles, subatomic particles, including quarks, electrons, neutrinos, etc., are completely connected to each other.Of course, there is something hidden in this universe. Although scientists do not fully understand it, in such a holographic theory architecture, we are very confident that we can fully understand the truth of the entire universe. Why? Because the entire universe and each of us are a unity. This holographic theory is very close to the reality of all dharmas mentioned by the Buddha in the "Avatamsaka Sutra". It is very rare. Scientists have such a smart and wise mind.
There are many things to talk about in the "Avatamsaka Sutra" about this concept of unity. In fact, Buddhas, Dharmakaya Bodhisattvas and great Bodhisattvas are all people who have already attained and entered into these realms. They can see the true face of the entire universe, the so-called state of unity of the entire Dharma realm and themselves. In fact, this state is our original state, and it is also the original state. The universe mentioned in the sutra is manifested by the mind and transformed by the consciousness. The "Avatamsaka Sutra" tells us that our mind and consciousness can be transformed and manifested. In the "Avatamsaka Sutra", this universe is the Dharma appearance, and the Dharma appearance is the manifestation and transformation. The Huayan Sutra tells us that what can be manifested and what is manifested and what is manifested and what is manifested and what is manifested and what is manifested and what is manifested and what is manifested and what is changed is the phenomenon, and the phenomenon and the essence are one. This is the unified whole of the universe as scientists describe, so everything here is a part of this unified whole.
How can you enter the state of unity of the universe and see the universe's essence? The Buddha told us in the scriptures that as long as you let go of delusions, discriminations, and attachments, you will see it. If you let go of delusions, discriminations, and attachments, all these spatial dimensions will be broken through. The more you let go, the larger the spatial dimensions you break through. The sutra tells us that the six realms of reincarnation are manifested by delusions, discriminations and attachments. As long as we let go of the attachments in our delusions, discriminations and attachments, the six realms will disappear. There are four holy realms in the ten Dharma realms. The four holy realms have let go of attachments, but there is still discrimination. If we let go of discrimination, we will go further and break the first-level delusion. (Ignorance and troubles ),Delusions and ignorance are the same. If you let go of delusions, the ten Dharma realms will be gone. You are entering a true Dharma realm. What is the One True Dharma Realm like? It means that the Dharma Realm is full of boundaries and is one with oneself. In fact, there is no size or distance or distance.
《The Huayan Sutra says a lot, the small dust particles, the basic particles we are talking about now, actually contain the entire universe. The so-called "A tiny dust can be entered throughout the Dharma Realm and the void realm. Therefore, the Buddha said in this sutra that "mustard seeds are taken in Sumeru."This example is explained a lot, this is the so-called Ten Mysteries of Huayan (This was established by Master Fazang, the three ancestors of the Three Patriarchs, Xianshou, the national master of the Avatamsaka Sutra. ),There is a door called "one multiple compatible different doors", which talks about one multiple and one multiple compatible.A speck of dust can accommodate an infinite world. This principle is explained in the "Avatamsaka Sutra".But we may ask, why can one be compatible? That is because the Buddha told us in the Diamond Sutra that "all appearances are false." All these things in the universe are illusory forms. Because they are illusory forms, they can integrate with each other without any obstacles. If they really have physical substances, how could a grain of dust contain a universe? How could a mustard seed contain Sumeru?
So mustard seeds can contain Sumeru. We say that they are so big as a small sesame seed, which can contain Mount Sumeru.Mount Sumeru is the center of the Milky Way. Mustard seeds have not been enlarged and Mount Sumeru has not shrunk. It can actually blend with each other and is complete blending. It is not that it is said that Mount Sumeru is cut into such a small portion of mustard seeds to melt. No, it is completely incorporated into the mustard seeds. The reason for this is that all phenomena are illusory. The so-called "all conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows" mentioned in the Diamond Sutra, which is like a dream.Dreams, you see we dream at night, scientists all think that our brain cells are active and brain nerves are moving. How big is our brain? But it can actually manifest the mountains, rivers and earth in this dream, and even the earth and space. If you have ever dreamed of swimming in space, let me ask you, such a large space in your dream can be condensed into your brain cells. Let me ask you that the brain cells are not enlarged, but they can contain the space in your dream. Isn’t this the mustard seed and Sumeru? Why is this phenomenon? Because this is a dream, the dream is illusory, and it is precisely because it is illusory that it has more compatibility.
So we must know that our present life and present state are not real. The Diamond Sutra teaches us to view dreaming, treating it as a dream or a bubble. We often see this phenomenon when looking in the mirror. If you look in this mirror, if you look in front of a large mirror and compare it with a small mirror, you will see that there are many levels of people in this mirror, and I will become in these levels; then I look in the outside world, for example, in the lecture hall next to me, there are many tables, chairs, benches, and the lecture hall is very large, but it can be integrated into my small mirror at once, which is a bit like mustard seeds and Sumeru. If you enlarge this proportion a little more, the small mirror can reflect the big world, and we can understand that it is more compatible.
In the Huazang world, there is a passage in the "Avatamsaka Sutra. Huazang World Chapter 5" that says, "With a single seed, everything is in one place, and there is no difference in the body and appearance, and there is no difference in the original state, and there is no limit to the infinite and infinite all." This is about this phenomenon. The Avatamsaka Sutra talks about the great world, which is a large galaxy. This large world is definitely many times larger than the Milky Way. Why? Because the Avatamsaka Sutra says that there are a billion galaxies in a Saha world, and the Saha world is also a small part of a world seed, so a world seed and a seed are very big.It is a world seed that can enter all world seeds, that is, one can enter everything, everything can enter one, everything can enter one, everything can enter one without any rest. This is obviously what is said to be compatible with one and more mutually entering, so-called size and non-duality.In fact, each of our bodies is like a small universe. The amount of information contained in our small universe is definitely equal to the amount of information contained in the large universe, which is the same size.Even the "Avatamsaka Sutra" talks more ultimately, which is the pores on your body. We say that a cell, a cell can also contain all the worlds of dust in the sea. Even the infinite world can contain your pores and your cells. Moreover, there are so many cells in the whole body, and each cell contains an infinite world, that is, the entire universe can be contained in every cell. Therefore, the cosmic view mentioned in the "Avatamsaka Sutra" is endless, and the so-called mutual inclusion is mutual inclusion, and one is compatible.
We ask what is the reason for this? This is completely manifested by the self-nature. The so-called Dharma is like this. The self-nature is like this. There is no size, no coming, no birth and death in the self-nature, no difference in life, no virtue and ability that the self-nature originally possesses. So what are the infinite worlds and galaxies in the ten directions mentioned in the "Avatamsaka Sutra"? The same self-nature is manifested. The self-nature can change. When this self-nature is awakened, we call it the mind; if we are confused, we call it consciousness, the so-called Alaya consciousness mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures. This mind and consciousness are one, not two, so we also call it the nature consciousness, but this mind is called the manifestation of the mind, and consciousness is the transformation of consciousness. What the mind can show is its original appearance, that is its true self, and the entire universe is one self. But when we have consciousness, consciousness means that we have delusions, discriminations and attachments. Therefore, the universe we observe and perceive is distorted by our delusions, discriminations and attachments, and entering our hearts is no longer the same as the universe. So what is the universe we can recognize? Our own consciousness twists it into the future universe.
Our master often uses three pieces of transparent tape to represent our delusion, discrimination, and attachment. Assuming that the yellow one belongs to delusion, the blue one belongs to discrimination, and the red one belongs to attachment. We ordinary people have these three things. As a result, after we have them, it hinders our true understanding of the universe. For example, our eyes are the nature of Dharma that can be seen, and the external realm is the manifestation of these Dharma appearances. Now we want to see the Dharma appearance outside. Our vision is blocked by these three things, delusions, discriminations, and attachments. Therefore, we can basically not see the original appearance, it is completely dark, and we can vaguely see something outside. This kind of person is an ordinary person in the six realms.
Now the Buddha tells us to let it go, because delusions, discriminations and attachments do not exist, so you can let it go now.First let go of your attachments. After letting go of your attachments, you will be able to see the external realm more clearly. This kind of person who let go of your attachments is called an Arhat, who no longer has the six realms of reincarnation. In fact, what is the six realms of reincarnation? It is the realm that ordinary people can perceive in our consciousness and consciousness. In fact, the external realm has not become the six realms of reincarnation. It is completely distorted by delusions and discriminations and attachments, and the external realm becomes the six realms that we can perceive. Now we continue to let go. It is not enough for the Arhat to let go of attachments. We must also let go of discrimination. After letting go of discrimination, we will see that the external situation is closer to reality, so we will be clearer. The rest is delusion, or distort the colors on the outside, and it is not the original appearance. So what is this state? In the four holy realms, you let go of distinctions to become a Bodhisattva. In the four holy realms, there are Śūvakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas. In the ten Dharma realms, the Buddhas in the ten Dharma realms have not completely let go of their delusions. What will it become after he finally lets it go? The realm of the One True Dharma Realm, what my eyes see is really the realm.
Let’s ask, when we have these three things, has the external realm really changed? No.Our eyes (This represents law )Has it been changed? No, the entire universe is still manifested by the mind, the self-nature, or the realm of the true Dharma Realm. It’s just that we have these three things, so the universe we perceive has changed, but in fact they have not changed. So the Buddha told us to let go, and if we don’t let go, we will not see the true appearance. What is the true form? It is said in this sutra, "The body and appearance are as different as originally, and there is no difference in the form of infinite and infinite all over the world."The body refers to the self-nature, and appearance refers to the appearance of Dharma. As the original, it refers to the fact that all dharmas are self-nature. There is no law to be obtained without self-nature, so it is the same body and there is no difference. These infinite Dharma Realms are the entire Dharma Realm, the universe Realm is the Great Perfection, so all Dharmas are equal, and all Dharmas are born from our minds. However, after we are confused, we have not seen this truth, and we cannot see our true self.
The Buddha advises us to understand and explore the universe, not using the method of scientists. Whether scientists use research, reasoning, and calculations, they are all still in delusions, discriminations, and attachments. If there is delusions, discriminations, and attachments, this is called confusion. How can we truly see the true face in confusion? Only by letting go of delusions, discriminations, and attachments can we realize and see the true appearance. Therefore, traditional sage studies have made us understand the truth of the universe and life. Not only did the Buddha explain this issue very clearly, but Buddhism does tell us that the truth is that the universe is the whole.Taoism also says, "Heaven and earth are of the same root as me, and all things are of the same body as me", which is also in line with the thoughts of holographic theory.Holographic theory is to say that the universe is an indivisible whole that is closely connected with all parts. This is what Lao Tzu said about the world and the world as one and all things as one.
Confucius also talked about similar things, but it was not so obvious. Why? Because this principle is too profound. Even if a sage understands it, he still depends on the object, whether the person can accept it or not, and whether he can say it is useless. So who did Confucius tell him this? We can see from the Analects of Confucius that he told Yan Hui.There is a passage in "The Analects of Confucius" saying "Yan Yuan asked about benevolence". One day, Yan Hui asked Confucius what kind of benevolence is, benevolence.Because benevolence is the realm of sages that Confucius pursued throughout his life, in fact, benevolence is the same body of the universe, and there is no opposition. This is called benevolence. So how did the Master answer Yan Hui? He said, "Restraining oneself and returning rituals to be benevolence." This is what teaches Yan Hui to truly achieve the state of benevolence in the universe. How should he do it? Restraining oneself and returning rituals is what Buddhism calls "let go of troubles and habits", and resumption of rituals is based on the teachings of sages. What the whole teaching of sages teaches us is to let go. The Buddha explained clearly that let go of delusions, discrimination and attachment are the way of benevolence and the way of benevolence.
Then Confucius said, "One day one will restrain oneself and return to rituals, and the world will be benevolent."This sentence is generally explained by people. I will do it well this day. I will practice benevolence. The world will follow me to practice benevolence. I can restrain myself and restore rituals. Everyone will follow me to learn benevolence. This level of explanation is relatively low.Let’s take a look at Master Huiyi, a Buddhist monk, the ninth ancestor of the Pure Land Sect, and is also an enlightened master. He explained this sentence that the whole world is one with himself, and I am one with the world, so there is no world outside of me. Therefore, I restrain myself and regain rituals, and of course the world will be benevolence. At the same time, why? The same whole. This is what the holographic theory says about the universe is indivisible and the world is indivisible. I am willing to study hard, restrain myself and regain rituals, and the world will be peaceful and the world will be harmonious. Then Confucius said that he was afraid that we would not understand it, so he said it more clearly. He said, "Is it up to others for benevolence?" It means that we truly practice benevolence and rely solely on ourselves. Why? There is only one self in the whole world, and the whole universe is one self. So as long as we look back and let go of our delusions, discrimination and attachment, the whole universe will become peaceful, which is called the world benevolence. What is this peaceful universe? Buddhism tells us that this is called the One True Dharma Realm, and this is called the Land of Real Reward and Adornment.
When it comes to the universe being an indivisible whole, there are numerous endless universes that can be integrated into one.In the annotation of Master Qingliang's "Avatamsaka Sutra", we see the "The Third Chapter of Samantabhadra Samadhi" he annotated. The third chapter is a sentence. This passage says, "At that time, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Mahasattva sat on the seat of the Lotus Sect Master in front of the Tathagata, inherited the power of the Buddha and entered Samadhi. This samadhi name is: the hiding body of all Buddhas, Viagra."This talks about Samantabhadra Bodhisattva entering Samantabhadra. This samadhi is also called the Samadhi of the Tathagata's hiding body of all Buddhas, Viagra. What is the state of this samadhi? It can see the state of an indivisible whole universe, and it can enter into an infinite world to appear.Master Qingliang quoted the explanation of this passage annotated by Master Xianshou. We first recite this passage. "Xianshou explained: All Buddhas are everywhere, and it shows that all Buddhas are all over the sea of Dharma realm and all the evils in that dust.Among all the dust, there are many of them, which cannot be exhausted. The person who talks about the Tathagata's hiding body is clearly this pervasive body, which surrounds the sea of Dharma realms and seas. All of them are in the Tathagata's body, so it is called hiding body. Therefore, there are always four sentences to be integrated. One body is everywhere in the sea, two body is in the body, three body is in the body, and four body is in the body.It is inside and outside, and it is mixed with the right and has no obstacles and no obstacles."This explanation is not easy to understand. We will understand it after a little explanation. You see, the realm mentioned in the "Avatamsaka Sutra" is actually a perfect holographic theory. Here it talks about the world and universe, and each dust contains infinite and boundless land, and all Buddhas can enter this infinite and boundless land. The so-called "all Buddhas are all pervading the sea of Dharma Realm, and all the widows in that dust" means that there is an infinite world in every dust. And these worlds are not planar, they are three-dimensional, they are multidimensional, and they are overlapping, so-called endless. These endless and inexhaustible worlds can actually be contained in one body and one pore. This is the so-called Tathagata hiding body. Tathagata hiding body refers to the body, so the Tathagata hiding body is everywhere.
Speaking of this principle, it is indeed difficult to understand. Don’t say that we now have these astronomical knowledge and cosmology knowledge. Think about it, in the past, the ancients did not have so much knowledge and technology, and it is even harder to understand. The National Master Xianshou probably preached the emperor in the palace. He was from the Tang Dynasty and might not understand this part of the emperor. So the National Master Xianshou thought of a good way, so he built an octagonal pavilion with eight corners of the pavilion, each of which was equipped with a mirror. After the pavilion was completed, the emperor invited him to visit here and said that if you want to experience the endless land you have entered into, you will enter this octagonal pavilion. As a result, when he went in, he saw that the mirror reflected each other and the shape of the human body was infinite. He suddenly understood what it means to enter all the soil.As we demonstrated, if you use a mirror to face the camera, my appearance will appear on the screen of this camera. I hold the mirror, and I am in the mirror, and I am in the mirror, and I am in the mirror, and I am in the mirror, and my infinite body will appear. Then you imagine that if eight mirrors look at each other at the same time and look at each other, then his body is really boundless.
At this time, we ask, is it one body or multiple body? You have to answer one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one,When you say one body, you clearly see the infinite body; when you say the infinite body is actually one body, so "one is many, more is one, one is non-dual."Therefore, here we understand "this body is the body that is pervasive". My body is full of all the lands, and in fact this body also contains the sea of the Dharma Realm that is pervasive. If the mirror I carry also belongs to a part of my body, isn’t it also a sea of merging and embracing the Dharma Realm? It is all in this body, so this is called hiding and merging. This fusion is rare for Master Qingliang. He talked about four aspects of meaning: the first one is "a body that is everywhere in the sea", which is easier for us to understand. The shape contrasted by the mirror I just saw, and the body that has penetrated into infinite space. The "Avatamsaka Sutra" talks about this state at the beginning. In the first chapter of "The World Master's Wonderful and Strict Class", there is a sutra saying, "The Lotus Light God, has achieved a quiet and unmoving under the Bodhi tree and filled the door of liberation in the ten directions." It is obvious that this Lotus Light God is also a Dharmakaya Bodhisattva, that is, he has let go of his delusions, discrimination and attachment, and his realm can be reached. He was silent and motionless under the Bodhi tree, his body and mind were not moved, but he actually filled all Buddhas in the ten directions, and all worlds had his body. It’s like when we enter an octagonal pavilion, our body remains motionless, but we have already spread all directions.
Master Xianshou said that these four sentences are more perfect than this. Here we talk about "the body is everywhere in the sea of sacredness". He also talks about being in the body, the second is "the body is everywhere in the body", the third is "the body is everywhere in the body", and the fourth is "the body is everywhere in the body", which is the great samadhi entered by Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. Samadhi is great samadhi, which is the great samadhi of the Dharma Realm. This body is everywhere in the sea, and countless boundless land can be found everywhere. What does 正 mean in the body? The infinite Buddha 正 is in our body, not only in our body, but in our pores, in our cell, that is, every cell contains the entire universe. This is the core idea of holographic theory. The whole universe is like a large holographic photo. You divide it into very thin pieces. Each one is like a cell, as small as a pore, and it contains the whole universe in it, so it is in the body and in the pores. The body is in the body, where is the body? The body is in the body.Think about it, every pore in our body has an infinite sea of sacredness. This infinite sea of sacredness has my body, which is really endless. The fourth one below talks about 日, so what about 日? I will enter the body all over the body.Think about it, there are countless Buddha lands in my body. Buddha lands. Every Buddha land has my body, and every body has infinite Buddha lands, so it is called entering the universal body. The body is already full of all things, and each body has all things, so it enters the body of all things.
Look at Master Xianshou talked about this endless Dharma Realm. This universe is much more exciting than the current cosmologists. This is the truth of the universe. Therefore, Master Xianshou said, "It is inside and outside, and it is mixed with the right and the right, without any obstacles." The inside and the outside, the right and the right, the right and the right are the dependent retribution and the right retribution. The dependent retribution refers to the environment, the right retribution is our body, the dependent retribution and the right retribution are mixed together, and the internal and external realms are also mixed together. The so-called unobstructed and unobstructed are the four unobstructed Dharma realms mentioned in the "Avatamsaka Sutra". The so-called "the reason is unobstructed, the matter is unobstructed, the principle is unobstructed, and everything is unobstructed." As long as we let go of our delusions, discriminations and attachments, we can enter this state, and this state is the state of becoming a Buddha.
Let's look at the holographic theory that scientists can imagine. The fish in the goldfish tank we just mentioned are being photographed by two cameras. The two fish on the screen we see are in different spaces. In fact, the fish in these different spaces are all in the same space. The space on the screen belongs to two-dimensional, and the real fish belongs to three-dimensional space, so the fish in the three-dimensional space projected into our lower dimension, and the two-dimensional space on the screen becomes two.We use this logic to express it. Pomer used this simulation method to talk about the phenomenon of over-distance action in the experiment just now. Two particles are called complicit particles. Why? Because the two particles seem to have a fundamental connection with each other, they are called complicit particles. In fact, it should be a projection reflected in two different three-dimensional spaces in the same six-dimensional space. Therefore, although they do not contact each other, they seem to have no relationship. In fact, it is a projection of the same higher-dimensional reality. In this higher-dimensional space, the universe is an indivisible whole; in other words, the creatures we present are all living in three-dimensional space, and the life of each three-dimensional space, including ourselves, is a projection of a whole in a higher-dimensional space.
So, are you and me? You and me who are not fundamentally opposed, you and me are one, and they are both projections of the community of life in the same higher dimensional space. Therefore, when I move, you will also move. Even if I have a thought, does it have an impact on you? It will also have an impact. It will not only affect you, but also on all life and matter in the entire universe, whether it is a living creature or a lifeless matter. In Buddhism, it is called sentient life and ruthless life. No matter which one it is, the fluctuations of this thought cover the entire universe. Why? We all live in this holographic universe, and are projections of the same.
According to physicists' inference, in this so-called high-dimensional space whole, the dimensions of this space should be infinite; in other words, this whole can break through infinite space. In such a picture of cosmic ontology, Pom himself conceived this way. He said that the so-called high-dimensional hidden order of the universe, which is a unified whole, can be stimulated and unfolded, and projected into our three-dimensional material world, it becomes an obvious order. So although we cannot see this whole, because it is hidden to us in a high-dimensional space, it is hidden to us, and it is not revealed. It is called hidden order, and the world of three-dimensional space that we can contact is called obvious order. This hidden order is constantly unfolding and projecting into our three-dimensional space, becoming us people, our creatures, our earth, the sun, the moon, the Milky Way, our universe and space; there are also many matters, and these obvious orders are constantly involved in this cosmic vacuum and become hidden order. Therefore, what we can observe and contact with with our naked eyes are all obvious orders, which are a very small part of the entire universe, and this hidden order is more extensive.
The Buddha talked about it in the sutra, and especially the relationship between hidden and visible, and this order is all virtues of nature. The so-called obvious order can be seen, our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind can be contacted; the hidden order is that we cannot see or touch, and the six senses cannot be touched, and the hidden and obvious are the same.In the sutra, the Buddha told us what the whole of the universe is? It is our self-nature. The self-nature is a pure, harmonious and bright whole. We cannot use the six senses of eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind to contact it, but we can contact it through the appearance it appears. Why? The appearances that appear are all self-nature, so the hidden and visible are non-dual.The third ancestor of the Huayan Sutra, Xianshou, wrote a short essay called "The Concept of Returning to the Origin after the Avatamsaka Sutra". In this article, he told us that the first in "The Concept of Returning to the Origin" is to observe "the pure and bright body of self-nature."We cannot see this self-nature. If we cannot see it, it is hidden. How can we hide it? Master Xianshou said, "When troubles are overwhelmed, they will be hidden; when wisdom is over, they will be revealed."Therefore, "those who show oneness are pure and perfect and bright in nature." Therefore, this self-nature refers to the essence of the universe. In fact, it is inherently complete. It is said to be pure because even in the pollution of troubles, it is called purity; it is called pureness; it is perfect and bright, because the light of this nature shines across the universe, and the so-called illumination of the universe means ubiquitousness. Every thing in the universe, from galaxies to basic particles, is all manifested by the self-nature, so it is called perfect and brightness.A saint has realized his own nature, but it does not increase in the saints; although ordinary people have no nature, they do not decrease in the ordinary people. What is it? Only hidden and revealing are different. The so-called "whats are hidden when they are overwhelmed, and wisdom is revealed when they are overwhelmed. Therefore, there is no difference between ordinary people and saints, only hidden and revealing are different. In other words, ordinary people have troubles, and if they have troubles, they will not see their own nature. When the saint let go of their troubles and wisdom appears, they will be able to see their nature. This is the "Subtitle of Practicing the Huayan Sutra" taught by Master Xianshou. The purpose is the purpose, and the profound purpose is here, the so-called "concept of returning to the source after the delusion is exhausted."Troubles include delusions, discriminations and attachments. To let go of all the troubles, that is, after all the delusions, discriminations and attachments are exhausted, they will return to the original source. The origin is the self-nature, which is our pure and bright body of self-nature. This body is the unified whole of the universe that physicists guess. Therefore, all phenomena in the entire universe are what is manifested in this same whole, just like every part of the holographic photo has this whole.
《There are many similar statements in the Avatamsaka Sutra, such as the body that can accommodate infinite Buddhas or enter infinite Buddhas.Let’s take another one here, “Ascending to the top of Mount Sumeru, the Thirteenth Chapter”. This is just the beginning. The Buddha appeared in an infinite and boundless world. The scripture says, “At that time, the power of the Tathagata was so powerful that all the worlds in the ten directions, one by four heavens, saw the Tathagata sitting under a tree.”This is about his appearance in all worlds in the ten directions, all sentient beings see him, and see the Tathagata sitting under the Bodhi tree."At that time, the World-Honored One, never leave all the Bodhi trees and ascends to the Palace of Indra."Sumeru is the center of our unit world. The Trayastrimsa Heaven is on the top of Mount Sumeru, which is Indra. The Tathagata is never left under the Bodhi tree and can actually go to the palace of the Trayastrimsa Heavenly King on the top of Mount Sumeru to preach. This shows us very clearly that "one" can be absorbed and displayed in all worlds, but that whole body is not shaken. This state of Buddha has talked a lot about this in the Avatamsaka Sutra, so we will not elaborate on it here.
Let's continue to look at this holographic theory proposed by Pomer. The universe that Pomer mentioned is a holographic photography illusion. Although this concept is still very controversial in the theoretical world, more and more scholars have accepted it, including in other fields, not only cosmology, but also scholars in other fields.Like a brain neuroscientist, he is one of the most famous universities in the United States. This brain neuroscientist is Carl o Pribram (KarlPribram),He also agrees with Bohm's holographic theory.Pribram studied how the brain remembers it. He found that memories are not stored in a certain part of the brain, but are scattered throughout the brain.Someone had done this kind of experiment as early as the 1920s, like Brain Scientist Carl o Raschli (KarlLashley)He used the mouse's brain for experiments, and he found that no matter what part of the mouse's brain is cut, it will not affect the mouse's memory; in other words, that memory does not exist in a certain part of the brain, but each part covers the entire memory, which is the essence of memory storage.Professor Pribram uses this concept of holographic photography to interpret this memory. He said that in fact, the brain is like a negative film of holographic photography. No matter how broken this negative film is, every point and every part has a total memory. This view can indeed explain the mystery of many physiologists. For example, everyone was confused. Why can human minds store so many memories in such a small space? It seems that it is almost infinite? According to estimates, the data that a person can remember in his life is about 10 billion. (One hundred billion Bits),It is about the size of five sets of Britannia, and such a storage volume is similar to holographic photography.Because someone has done such a calculation, on a cubic centimeter square negative, the negative of this holographic photo can store 10 billion digits of data, as large as the human brain stores.
We can now understand why the human brain can quickly extract data buried deep in our memory. For example, if we just give a word like "zebra", zebra in a zoo. When you mention this zebra, these information will immediately appear in your mind. This zebra must have some stripes on its body. The zebra looks like a horse, and the horse, stripes, and zoos are released; or it is produced in wild animals like Africa. When you look at these, all the data emerges from your mind almost immediately. What does this mean? These data are very closely related to the data. The entire brain is actually a holographic photography negative, and each part is closely connected to each other. So when a data is called out, the overall information and related information are all called out.
Professor Pribram also used this holographic theory to answer many scientific mysteries. For example, one of the mystery is "How does the brain translate the large amount of fluctuations it gets from the senses?" For example, light waves, sound waves, and smells, etc. In our specific world of perception, our senses can actually continuously receive a lot of information and fluctuations, and even they can interchange sensory functions. An Italian brain nerve researcher named HugoZucarelli, In one of his experiments, he found that the human brain can receive sounds, that is, use one ear to receive sounds. Even if a person has only one ear that has hearing and the other ear does not have to turn his head and use one ear to determine the source direction of the sound. What does this belong to? The principle of holographic style, because one of his ears can listen from all directions and collect information from all directions. This researcher developed a technology of holographic audio. According to this principle, it is a recording technology that can reproduce the phenomenon of sound almost incorrectly.
Our brain is really like a camera lens, holographic photography, which can capture any fluctuations in the world around us and become the world of our own inner perception, and these materials become a unified whole in this inner perception world. This is Pribram's use of holographic theory to interpret the activity law of the brain. In other words, our senses can use a mathematical method to build a so-called perceptual world, and these perceptual worlds do not necessarily look like the real world. For example, hearing may be disturbed by aroma, or our vision may be disturbed by sound waves, so this different fluctuation may enter your different senses to generate this information. In other words, the eyes may not only have the function of watching, but also have the function of listening; the nose may also have the function of watching, or listening, which is not entirely the function of sniffing. This belongs to the so-called holographic perception field.
In the Buddhist scriptures, this is called the exchange of six senses. In the "Avatamsaka Sutra", there is a special passage about this phenomenon. In the "Thirty-three of the Buddha's Inconceivable Dharma Chapter", there is a passage saying, "All Buddhas can do Buddhist affairs in the ears, ears, noses, tongues, body, Buddhas, body, minds, Buddhas, can be in all worlds with minds, and living in various realms in the world and out of the world. In one realm, you can do countless and vast Buddhist affairs. This is the eighth free Dharma of all Buddhas."This is the eighth of the ten kinds of freedom of all Buddhas, which is the exchange of the six senses, eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind, which can perfectly receive all-round information, so each sense is like a holographic photography lens, capturing all information. So the eyes can do Buddhist rituals of the ears. The ears can listen, the eyes can listen, in other words, the eyes can smell and taste the taste. What about the ears? You can do Buddhist rituals in the nose, you can listen, see, smell, taste, etc. The six senses are interconnected.
This phenomenon, what Pribram mentioned, is combined with the holographic brain model proposed by Pom, which means that if the external so-called real information received by our human brain, if this mind really has a holographic structure, it will extract some of the fluctuations from these external information fluctuations. The information outside is all-round and holographic, covering the information of the entire universe. It has its own choices for the information it inhales, and it uses mathematical methods to transform it into its own sensory perception; in other words, the world we humans can perceive is not necessarily the real world outside. The real world is a holographic world, but because we are selective and delusional and attachment as mentioned in Buddhism, the worlds we capture are synthesized, and the mathematical world becomes the perceptual world that we know is different from the outside world. What exactly is objective reality? In fact, simply speaking, objective reality has ceased to exist. Many teachings in the East say an illusion called Maya, This Maya It is that you can change the actual things or let them disappear in this real world. Many Indian magicians have this ability to make a living person or object disappear at once, which is worth further discussion by our scientists. So this external world may actually not be a real objective existence, and the world we know and perceive are not the original appearance of this external world.
In other fields, holographic model theory also has many applications. For example, in psychology, psychology researchers have discovered a phenomenon, which is the so-called telepathy. For example, two people are not together, and one of them can input thoughts into the mind of another person to let the other person know that it seems that the minds of two people are connected. It was difficult to explain this problem in the past. Since the holographic theory was proposed, we have been able to understand that in fact, the minds of two people are the same. If they are the same, of course they are naturally connected.Telepathy is no longer a magical fact, it is a very natural phenomenon.Psychologists are also exploring a so-called memory of past lives, such as Stanislav, director of the Maryland Center for Psychology Research. o Grove (StanislavGrof),The scholar also worked as a professor in the Department of Psychology at Hopkins School of Medicine. He believes that many strange phenomena in psychology can be fully explained by holographic theory. For example, Dr. Grove uses a kind of "name" called " LSD The psychedelic drug is used as a psychological treatment tool, which is like hypnosis, hypnosis of the patient with this drug, and then let him recall the past and recall the phenomena that caused the present psychological symptoms to resolve them.
Dr. Grove had a female patient. During psychological treatment, she suddenly returned to the past, and her memory was restored. She recalled that she was a female reptile from the prehistoric era, turning into a worm, a female reptile in the prehistoric era.In this hypnotic and psychedelic state, she can tell the physical condition of the crawler very carefully, the situation of its various parts, and how she feels in the crawler's body.Later, Dr. Grove checked this data with experts on crawling knowledge and was surprised to find that the detailed crawling information mentioned by the female patient was completely real, proving that she must have been a crawler in her past life. There are many examples of such people who can recall their previous lives in a hypnotic state. I remember that I specifically talked about this topic more than two years ago, "Scientific Proof of Cause and Effect". There are many cases of recalling previous lives using hypnotic methods, which are all the results of modern American and Western scientists and psychologists. But how do they explain it after they discover it? The holographic theory can explain it very well. Why? Because the entire universe is a whole, and the past, present and future are all wholes. Therefore, the information about the female patient's past reptile and the information about her current life are of course related to each other. Therefore, under certain conditions, the patient can call out the information that exists in the whole. This kind of psychology, Dr. Grove called it "superpersonal experience", was developed by him. He began to study this field since the late 1960s. It is called transpersonal psychology, which is called English: transpersonalpsychology, Research like this can be said to be in full swing.
In many fields, satisfactory answers can be found in the explanation of holographic theory. In fact, we need to truly understand our universe, to understand all things in the vast space, and to understand the past, present, and future, how can we truly achieve it? Or is the Buddha who explains it to us clearly, that is, to us realize our mind.Knowing that the entire universe is manifested by our mind and transformed by our consciousness. If you grasp it, of course, everything that is manifested by the essence can be known. There is a verse in the "Avatamsaka Sutra. The 20th Praise of the Verses of the Yamatian Palace" that says to us, "If a person wants to know, all Buddhas in the three worlds should observe the nature of the Dharma Realm, and everything is created by the mind."If we want to understand all the Buddhas in the past, present and future ten directions, all these Buddhas include all sentient beings, and all sentient beings are future Buddhas, then sentient beings are not only sentient beings, but also sentient beings. How to do it? You should observe the nature of the Dharma Realm, everything is created by the mind. This is a fact, and it is manifested by our mind body. This is a simple sharing of the holographic theory triggered by the action of distance.
Let’s continue to discuss a relatively specialized issue, which belongs to the eighth issue, “black hole theory.”The black hole theory can actually be discussed. We don’t have much content here. We mainly want to compare Buddhist scriptures and see how Buddhist scriptures explain black holes. The main proposer of black holes and the person who developed this theory is Stephen, a famous British physicist at the University of Cambridge. o Hawking (StephenHawking),He is probably the most outstanding physicist of the times, and he has made outstanding contributions to his achievements in physics, especially general relativity and cosmology. He was the most respected and noble professor at Cambridge University after Newton and Dirac.Unfortunately, he is a Lougere (That is, muscular atrophy, so-called lateral sclerosis )The patient, he could only lie in a wheelchair, lying for twenty years, and was completely disabled. But it is rare for him to have a body and ambition to be disabled, and he has made outstanding contributions to theoretical physics.Hawking came to a conclusion through his own calculations in 1976 that during the formation of a black hole, the mass will gradually decrease, but the energy will not be emitted outward. He believes that this theory is that matter or any information inside the black hole cannot be emitted, so the black hole is constantly concentrated and will eventually evaporate and disappear. This is the theory he proposed in 1976.
This theory is in conflict with quantum mechanics, because modern quantum mechanics and others believe that matter information will never disappear, but Hawking said that after black holes absorb this information, it will eventually disappear completely. As a result, this theory has been discussed among many scientists. What is going on in black holes? Until recently, after twenty-nine years of research and thinking, Hawking found that his past understanding of black holes was wrong. At an academic conference two years ago, Hawking published another paper, saying that black holes were not what he had imagined to swallow everything.Because the mass of a black hole is very large, its inner gravity is very strong, and it absorbs all matter in it, just like a swallowing hole. The bottomless hole cannot even run out of light. The gravity is too great, and photons and beams cannot come out.But Hawking said this at the 2006 conference, saying that some information in the matter deep in this black hole may actually be released at some point.Regardless of whether the information of this black hole can be released, it actually represents the formation and destruction of a galaxy.
How did a black hole form? There is a theory that when a star continues to evolve, it will eventually slowly die and become a white dwarf. The white dwarf emits white light, which looks aging. There is not much energy inside, so it no longer has the ability to bear the huge weight of the star itself, so the weight of the matter in its shell will be pressed into it. Under this heavy pressure, its core, the core of the star, begins to shrink, and continues to shrink to a star body with very, very small size and very dense density, so that it can balance with this pressure. So such stars with very small mass become white dwarfs and finally form a black hole. When the gravity in its heart increases with its density, all the surrounding matter will be attracted in, and even light cannot be avoided, which forms a black hole.
Astronomers have also discovered many black holes in the universe. For example, an astronomical team at Stanford University in the United States discovered a large black hole formed in a distant galaxy, about a billion years after the Big Bang. This celestial body is about one billion times the mass of the sun, this is the code name Q0906+6930We can take a look at the black hole here. The gravitational field of this black hole is very large and can absorb thousands of solar systems. It is said that it was formed in a billion-year big explosion and the universe is formed within a billion years.Recently, a large black hole was discovered, which was discovered by NASA. It was a black hole that ejected a large stream of rays, impacting a smaller galaxy nearby. We can also see it when we look at this picture. This discovery also proves that the theory Hawking said in 1976 is wrong, because it is true that black holes can eject matter, not that everything is attracted.Scientists have not yet concluded the formation of black holes and what happened, but basically we can agree that a black hole is a celestial body formed after the demise of a galaxy.
The Buddha has talked a lot about the formation, existence, destruction and emptiness of galaxies. The Buddhist scriptures say that every world has four kalpas: formation, endurance, destruction and emptiness. These so-called four middle kalpas, each middle kalpa has twenty small kalpas, and a great kalpa includes four middle kalpas: formation, endurance, destruction and emptiness. We have calculated before how long is a great disaster? There are a total of 1.2 billion years. The Buddha told us that when the world enters the stage of emptiness, Master Zongmi mentioned in the "Avatamsaka Sutra" that in the emptiness, there is "there is no world and all sentient beings", that is, there is no world and no life inside. This is mentioned that it may be a big black hole.In fact, the black hole, Mr. Huang Nianzu, said that it may be the center of the Milky Way, which is a Mount Sumeru.Today's time is here, let's talk about this first. If there are any inappropriate things, please criticize and correct me. Thank you.
