Even if you are greedy for a grass, you still have to reincarnate again

Chinese Master 2014-09-29

1. What about the centipede?I don’t know if I was injured when I threw it away?

One day, my mentor and the public went out to the slope and went to the field to do work. She put the hat on the ground, and a centipede actually crawled into the hat and hid it.At that time, my mentor didn't know that she had to knock and beat before wearing the hat. As soon as she put it on, she was bitten by a centipede. Not only was it red and painful, but her whole head was swollen! But because everyone has a deacon job, even though the wound hurts, you have to endure it.Later, when I was so painful that I couldn't stand firm, I went to report to the old monk.

The old monk did not ask her what the wound was, whether it was important, he only asked: "Where is the centipede?"My mentor replied, "I was bitten at that time, and I was in pain. I threw my hat before I could see it clearly!"The old monk said, "You threw that centipede away, I wonder if it was injured?!"Some people may feel strange, why is the old monk so careless about his disciples being injured? To be honest, the old monk takes care of his disciples' thoughts and actions, and his Dharma body and wisdom life than taking care of his body.

2. What kind of body do you want?

Because we must have bodies at any time in the six realms of reincarnation, but the bodies we change in each life are different: sometimes we use the body of "human", sometimes we use the body of "animal", and turn into pigs, cows, even ants, or even hungry ghosts. The body will definitely exist, but it will be different in size! The decision of which body we want to have is mainly determined by our thoughts. When you are angry at the end of your life, you will be replaced by the painful body in hell. If you recite the Buddha's name in a minute, you can also be exchanged for the Buddha's golden body.

We usually only care about our bodies and stick to our bodies, but we don’t know how to take care of our thoughts! The old monk is very compassionate and reminds his disciples that even when they are bitten by a centipede and suddenly in pain, they should maintain a compassionate heart and take care of the centipede, not taking care of themselves or pity themselves.

When we can express compassion for all living beings, we will not feel pain in the moment of the moment. It is equivalent to walking out of our "body view" attachment and obtaining freedom and liberation.

3. Even if you are greedy for a grass, you will have to reincarnate again

One day, my mentor followed the old monk to the back mountain and walked by. Suddenly, I saw some beautiful flowers and plants. My mentor said, "Wait a minute!I went to get scissors and cut the flowers off and put them in a water bottle to offer them to Buddha."The old monk said, "These flowers and plants grow here, and they are originally offering sacrifices to Buddhas in the ten directions. How can you cut them and insert them into a water bottle to be called offering sacrifices to Buddhas? You should know that in the Saha world, as long as you are greedy for a piece of grass, you will have to reincarnate again!”

The old monk has a vast heart to offer to the grass and flower in the world and to offer to the Buddhas of the ten directions. In the eyes of the old monk, every grass is a reminder from the Buddha, reminding him to let go of his inner greed, anger and ignorance and not to reincarnate again.

A branch of grass is used by those who know how to use it to remind people to recite the Buddha's name and be reborn in the West; Those who don’t know how to use it will use it to greed and strive to reincarnate.

For the old monk, every realm awakened him. Therefore, those who can work hard can develop wisdom in good or bad states, while those who cannot work hard will develop greed, anger and ignorance everywhere.

4. Who can I give to eat peaches to "not a pity"?

During the eight years of meditation in the cave, monkeys often gave fruits to offer him. The monkey could only hold one fruit at a time. If he gave ten fruits, it means that the monkey had a hard time and had walked back and forth ten times, so the old monk had always been very grateful to the monkey.

One day, someone gave a large amount of peaches to support the old monk. After seeing it, the old monk said he wanted to give it to the monkey for food. When the disciple saw that it was such a big peach that was actually going to be given to the monkey, he asked the old monk, "Is it a pity to give the monkey food?""The old monk asked him, "Otherwise, would it be a pity for you to eat?"”

yes!"Is it a pity to give monkeys food?" As soon as this sentence is said, it means that our hearts do not have equal compassion for all living beings. It won’t feel a pity if you use good things yourself. If you want to give them to others or to small animals, it will feel a pity.I feel a pity to give a good biscuit to the ants and I can't bear to leave it alone. In fact, are we more religious than a monkey? We may not be able to keep up with the monk's piety at that time!Especially when reflecting on one's own thoughts and actions, it is often selfish and for oneself, unwilling to give up oneself and unwilling to sacrifice oneself for others. This is really worthy of shame and not worth offering!
