At the age of 60, she suffered divorce, bankruptcy, and imprisonment, but with the inspiration in her recipe, she became the second richest woman in the United States

She was in prison at the age of 62 and suffered the biggest setback of her life. She is also the first female billionaire in U.S. history to own her own publicly traded media company.

Over the past 20 years, she has sold the secrets of cooking, housekeeping, decorating and raising children to more than 10 million families around the world through television, radio, magazines and dozens of books, creating a generation of American women's life concepts and creating the legend of "Queen of Housekeeping".

She was Martha stewart, a housewife who climbed out of the slums and made her first fortune from recipes, before she became the second richest woman in the United States, after Oprah Winfrey, the queen of stand-up comedies.

No one could have imagined that Martha's recipe for wealth came from good food.

Martha, who was born poor, has a good face and a slim figure, and became a model in a department store because of work-study in high school, and was later named "The Top Ten Best College Student Models in the United States". But Martha was not determined to do this, gave up the opportunity to go to Paris to develop, gave up the possibility of becoming an international supermodel, and boldly married Andy without telling her mother and became a housewife.

After marriage, Martha likes to stay in the kitchen the most, often teaching herself how to cook and make homemade food. However, the ordinary life did not last long, and he was finally fired from the company because he could not escape the financial crisis.

Martha and her husband began their hard work again, spending $33,700 to buy six unused farmhouses in suburban Connecticut and renovate their love nest by themselves.

During this time, Martha worked as a gardener, painting and cooking, and her daily training made her a housekeeper generalist. With a love for cooking, Martha began to study American chef Julia Child's "Tips for French Cooking" and realized her own way of cooking.

Soon, Martha has a keen sniff of her business acumen and decides to write all the pots and pans in her life into a book. Three years later, she became famous by completing her first book, Gourmet Diners, which would later be hailed as the bible of housewives.

The book contains recipes, party guides, set decoration suggestions, and is printed in full color. The illustrations of each dish were meticulously taken by photographers.

Why is Martha Stewart leading the culinary trend? Meat is barely visible in her recipes and books, concluding that "a successful feast doesn't have to have meat."

Immediately afterward, "Martha Stewart Life Multimedia Company" was founded. In 1999, the company went public, with Marks & Spencer owning 70% of the shares. On the day of listing, the stock price jumped from $18 to $37.25, and Martha's net worth rose to $1.27 billion, ranking second on the list of the richest women in the United States.

But life is always full of unknowns, 60-year-old Martha at the peak of her career, but unexpectedly ushered in a tragic turn, divorce, scandals, unsold magazines, stock decline, and her image plummeted. The 62-year-old was indicted on charges of obstruction of justice and sentenced to five months in prison. Everyone thought she was finished.

However, in prison, she once again started a life like a hanging. He taught his fellow inmates how to cook food and held yoga classes in prison.

When she was released from prison, Martha was wearing a coat knitted by her cellmate, smiling, and Newsweek commented that "she looked fantastic"!

After her release from prison, Martha described life in prison this way. The food in prison is terrible, high in carbohydrates, and "unpalatable meat" accounts for a large percentage. "If only I told them I'm a vegetarian." But she didn't. "Whenever I can, I order vegetarian meals." She didn't eat in the cafeteria, and learned to use the microwave to heat it with her fellow inmates. It's just some "simple pasta, kale tortillas, young dandelion leaves, and some miscellaneous vegetables, all of which are rotten leaves from that broken vegetable garden."

Martha is grateful for all this, and is grateful for the optimism and hard work that vegetarian food has brought her in prison. Later, someone wrote a biography for her, and her life in prison was made into the movie "The Housekeeping Empress in Prison".

"On any given morning, you can see someone wearing a 'Martha's luxurious cotton dressing gown,' sipping green tea from a 'Martha hamper,' and watching CBS's 'The Life of Martha Stewart.' His or her shopping list also includes 'Martha' brand wooden coffee tables...... "Martha Stewart's "kingdom of housekeeping" has influenced the lives of the American middle class.

Who would have thought that Martha's achievements and legends originated from her love of food.
