Khenpo Dazhen: Reflection is the best practice

Khenpo Dazhen: Reflection is the best practice

You have to understand that not letting you be selfish, not asking for this and that, this is the way for you to finally attain liberation and fulfillment. It's not that the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and the Guru are asking you or forcing you to do anything, it's not that you don't want you to be liberated and become a Buddha, but only for sentient beings to be liberated and become Buddhas. Everyone must understand that everything is done for you, and in the end, all achievements are obtained by yourself, and you can't reverse it!

Some people think, "Is this the Buddha trying to control me, the Guru trying to control me?" "How can it be said to be control? There are conditions for studying and practicing Buddhism, and the first premise is that you have to be willing and have your own intentions. If you really want to learn from Buddhism, if you want to practice, and if you want to achieve success in the end, you have to follow the Buddha's method, according to the requirements of the teacher, and only when you let go of your ego and overcome your ego can you be liberated.

The Buddha often talks about "selfless spirit" and "selfless dedication", do you understand? Only by selfless dedication can you achieve success and attain fulfillment. Selfishness and greed are the nature of ordinary people, and the state of ordinary people cannot be liberated and fulfilled in such a state. So we have to change now, we must no longer be selfish, we must no longer be greedy, we must let go of ourselves and abandon selfishness.

Many people are afraid to take the vows, feeling that they are bound by the vows and that they are uncomfortable keeping the vows. How can you feel uncomfortable? How can it be a constraint? This is because you yourself don't know how to keep the precepts, you don't understand the precepts. You don't have this motivation at all, and you don't have this foundation at all, it's all your own problem.

Many people are under pressure to study Buddhism and practice, and they are not happy when they hear that they are going to attend classes, this kind of person is really too far from liberation, and it is a daydream to achieve it! Because you don't understand it at all.

Everyone should reflect and think well. Buddhism is all about the true meaning and the truth, and only when you understand and understand all these truths can your heart not be so stupid and upside down, so that you will not have hatred and hatred, and you will not accept it reluctantly.

Happiness is bliss, suffering is suffering, but we are completely upside down, why? It is ignorance of the truth, ignorance and stupidity. The state of mind of not knowing the truth is called stupidity and ignorance.

Many people seem to be very cultivated and understand the truth, and they comment on others everywhere: "So-and-so is good, so-and-so is not", "So-and-so is good, so-and-so is not good"...... How can you, a person who is completely upside down, still judge others?

You should reflect on yourselves, and self-reflection is the best practice. For a person who knows how to repent, there is hope for liberation. The process of cultivation is a process of knowing and correcting mistakes, a process of repentance, and a process of self-reflection.
