Master Hongyi: Li Shutong (1880-1942), also known as Li Xishuang, Li An, Li Liang, the spectrum name Wentao, the young name Cheng Qi, the scientific name Guanghou, the word Xishuang, alias Rinse.
Li Shutong is a famous musician, art educator, calligrapher, and theater activist, and one of the pioneers of Chinese drama. After he returned from studying in Japan, he served as a teacher and editor, studied Buddhism in his early years, and later became a monk.
In 1913, he was hired as a music and painting teacher at Zhejiang Two-level Normal School (later changed to Zhejiang Provincial First Normal School). Since 1915, he has been a music and painting teacher at Nanjing Higher Normal School, and composed the first school song in the history of Nanjing University.
