At first, his father also opposed him believing in Buddhism and chanting scriptures, but he was very cute. He recited the Buddhist scriptures and placed a newspaper in front of him when chanting the scriptures. He pretended to read the newspaper, but in fact he was reciting the Buddhist scriptures in his heart.
Although he had the opportunity to come into contact with Buddhism and was very enthusiastic to serve the Buddhist public, his master advised him to eat vegetarian food, but he said: I hate vegetarian food the most. Do I have a good person to eat grass?!He was both heavy and loving for meat, and he had weight to 99 kilograms and a waist circumference of 48 inches.Someone made fun of him that he needed to buy two clothes at a time and wear one at a time.
Cancer spreads and coughs up blood, doctors say it will not last six months
In 1982, one morning, he coughed up blood. The doctor's examination resulted in tuberculosis (tuberculosis), but after general anti-tuberculosis treatment, there was no improvement at all after a period of time. After further examination, it was found that it was cancer.Not only are there tumors in the lungs, but also intestines, and even all internal organs are spreading.The doctor told him that his condition was very unoptimistic and he might not live for six months.
Consecrate this deep heart to the world, and recite the Buddha's name peacefully and enjoy rebirth
He is a very wise man, and at this critical moment of life and death, he also tested his deep belief in the power of Buddha.After he coughed up blood, the master asked him to rest, but he refused. He decided to do things for the public and would never give up halfway.He said: I don’t care, I chant Buddha’s name!He knew that his condition was serious, so he handed over his career to his wife and even returned the credit card to the bank.Then devote one's wholeheartedness to Buddhism, contribute one day to one's life, and recite the Buddha's name with peace of mind to be reborn in the Western Paradise.(To be reborn, move forward bravely and live in the most compassionate and happy Buddha world.) (The Western meaning is to be strong and pure in nature. )
Leave the body to the Dragon and Heaven's Protector
He devoted his duties to the Buddhist lay Buddhists, and he did all the work of promoting Buddhism and benefiting sentient beings with his own heart and carefreeness.
He said: I will hand over my body to the Longtian Protector.He believes in Buddhism and believes that his mind is pure and he will be free from illness.He listened to Master’s teachings: You should review your own thoughts. If you are for yourself, you are a demon, and if you are for the public, you are a Buddha.He followed this principle and served the public.As a result, six months have passed, even six years have passed, ten years have passed, and they have not died or been sick, and they are still alive until now.
And they often form groups to go to the mainland to protect the Buddhist teachings of the mainland.He is currently the head of Singapore’s layman Linlin and plans to establish Amitabha Village, and he is very active every day.
Take the Bodhisattva Precepts
In 1988, because Buddhism always wanted to preach the precepts in Singapore, Master hoped that he would support him and mobilized everyone to take the precepts.He thought that if he wanted to persuade people to take the precepts, he must also have the intention to take the precepts.The master advised him to take the Bodhisattva precepts, but at that time he still liked to eat meat, so he told the master that he wanted to eat meat, and at most he could eat vegetarian food for ten days.
When he arrived at the precepts, a master told him very seriously: What kind of Bodhisattva do you have to eat meat!It was amazing. After taking the ordination and before going home, he called his family to cook the ingredients (meat food) and wait for him, but when he got home, he always felt that there was a stinking smell at home, as if it was a dead mouse, but he couldn't find the dead mouse.

Later I discovered that the stench came from his favorite fish meat. From then on, as long as he smelled the meat, he felt that it was the smell of a dead mouse and he would not dare to eat it automatically.He said: I can't believe that people who love meat like me actually switch to vegetarian food.This is the incredible way of Buddhism.
Let go of your personal life, for Buddhism, overcome serious heart disease
He not only had cancer, but also had serious heart disease, hypertension and diabetes.Moreover, there are three blockages in the blood vessels of the heart, two of which block 95% and one blocks 90%.The doctor asked him to perform surgery because it was very dangerous and could cause cardiac paralysis (myocardial infarction) at any time.
But on the day he was going to be hospitalized for surgery, there was something very important in the Buddhist community and he needed his help.He thought that the Bodhisattva told him not to have surgery, so he reported to the Bodhisattva: I don’t want to have surgery!Then he canceled the surgery to the hospital and did things for Buddhism.He chose to be both for himself and for the public, and let go of his personal gains and losses, and let go of his personal life and death.
As long as it is beneficial to all living beings, do it with enthusiasm. As a result, the disease will recover and the physical condition will be better
He recites the Buddha's name every day and spares no effort to serve the Buddhist public. He not only runs lay Buddhists, but also a Buddhist library and a training and training class for promoting Buddhism.From teaching children to reading scriptures, to setting up the elderly, taking care of the elderly, teaching them to chant Buddha's name, and even going to prison to preach the Dharma, chanting for others, bathing and dressing for dead people, as long as it is a matter of benefiting sentient beings and helping sentient beings learn Buddhism, he will do it with his heart and enthusiasm.
As a result, he had cancer and didn't do anything, he didn't have surgery for heart disease, and he didn't do anything.After the examination, the three blood vessels that were originally blocked in his heart naturally returned to normal, and his body became stronger and stronger.He can swim 1,500 meters a day, or even 5,000 meters at a time.Everyone will be seasick when riding a boat, but he only doesn’t know how to do it, and he will also help the doctor take care of the patients.When he goes to a cold place on the mainland, he wears very little clothes and is not afraid of the cold.
It's not a miracle, it's the heart source to destroy the virus, and the cells rearrange and combine
Most people and doctors think he is a miracle.But the old master said: This is not a miracle, it is a normal phenomenon.We will get sick and aging because we have all kinds of toxins of greed, anger and ignorance in our hearts, and various external pollution and temptations, so everyone will get sick and aging.
The old master believed that Mr. Li Muyuan's illness would be cured because he would destroy the virus in his heart and restore the heart to purify, sincere and compassionate. Therefore, the cells in the whole body would be automatically recombined and rearranged, and the body would naturally recover from health and strength.
Being falsely accused, frustrated, and more courageous and diligent
He gave up all his selfish desires for himself and his plans, recited the Buddha's name with all his heart, and served the public.Therefore, it not only changes the disease and restores health, but also overcomes various obstacles and difficulties in the environment.He was obliged to do his best to do Buddhism, but some people misunderstood him and even falsely accuse him of corruption and sue him.He was investigated by the Singapore Bureau of Investigation thirteen times, but the people from the Bureau not only confirmed that he was not corrupt, but also moved by him and asked him to sue those who falsely accused him.But he said: I have taken the Bodhisattva precepts, I don’t want to do this!He only wants to help sentient beings learn Buddhism, but does not want to make bad relationships with sentient beings.He suffered a lot of setbacks and obstacles, but he did not retreat. Instead, he became more brave and diligent in his contributions and services to all living beings.
Resolve the jail disaster
He believed that his karma was very serious, so he had to recite the Buddha's name more diligently, and he encountered obstacles on the day he converted.Every time he encounters an obstacle, he further proves that the power of chanting Buddha's name is incredible, making him more confident in chanting Buddha's name.
In the past, there were not many gas stations in Singapore, so when he drove, he would prepare an extra bucket of gasoline to put it in the rear car box.We know that Singapore's public security has always been very good and is famous in the world. Police officers always pay attention to the safety of the people.
On the day of his conversion, he encountered a policeman stopping the car and checking it. The police found a bucket of gasoline in the back of his car box and a piece of black sea green. He suspected whether he wanted to set fire or be a thief, so he took him to the police station to detain him.
The police told him: Today is Saturday, the sheriff will not come, tomorrow is Sunday, Monday is National Day, and you will go to court on Tuesday.He entered the detention center like this, and there were two older people in the institute. They were tricycle drivers and were arrested for gambling.
Mr. Li thought to himself, what should we do here?He began to recite Guanyin Bodhisattva loudly and asked the two tricycle drivers to recite with him. The two ignored him. He chanted louder and louder. When he thought of taking refuge, Master Xiapei said: Today is June 19th. In addition to reciting the holy name of Guanyin Bodhisattva, you can also recite Amitabha Buddha.
So he chanted Amitabha Buddha loudly. When Amitabha Buddha was over eleven o'clock, a policeman came to open the door and said to him: Come out, the police chief will call you.He felt very strange. The police just said that the sheriff would not come on Saturday, so why did he come again?He went out and saw that the sheriff was only in his thirties.The sheriff asked him: Why were he arrested?He replied: I put an extra bucket of gasoline in my car, and they (the police) said, I want to set fire: I bring a black hair green, and they said I want to be a thief.
He reported to the sheriff: Look!This black suit has such a wide sleeve, which is inconvenient to run away as a thief and will fall!The sheriff asked him again: Did they do anything to you?Mr. Li replied: No.The sheriff said: Then you can go back!He also asked the police to help him take the oil back to the car.Before leaving, he ran back to the detention center and said to the two old men: Look!I can go out after chanting Buddha’s name.You don’t read it, don’t listen to me!
The mind changes, the body's destiny changes, and the environment and the world change
Mr. Li had many ups and downs throughout his life, but he believed in the power of Buddha and never was discouraged. He insisted on using the power of chanting Buddha and vows to overcome his karma.Once, when he went to Jiuhua Mountain in mainland China, he met a fortune teller who was very good at fortune telling and told him: You will be paralyzed and cannot walk, and he also advised him to go back quickly.He said: I believe in Buddhas and Bodhisattvas!No matter it, that's not the case!He proves to us everywhere that the power of faith, aspiration and chanting Buddha's name will definitely surpass karma!Not only was he not paralyzed, he also walked as fast as he could!His heart changes, his body changes, and the environment and the world changes.
Choose to let go of what you can’t take with you, and diligently practice all kinds of merits that you can take with you
We must understand that the fame, wealth and family members in the world cannot be taken away. Only the merits and blessings of practice can be taken away and used.He is very wise to judge choices. He chooses to let go of fame and fortune that he cannot bring, and chooses to use his life to plant good causes and cultivate all kinds of blessings and merits that he can bring away.If we keep sowing the good cause of being reborn in the West and becoming a Buddha, we will definitely be reborn in the Pure Land with everyone and get the best results of becoming a Buddha.
