Master Xin and Vow "Liberation of Life and Death"

Without life, all hope is empty talk;Without life, all ideals become disillusionment;Without life, all wealth belongs to him;Without life, all power is like clouds and smoke.Therefore, only life can lead to everything.However, what is the reality of life?What is the meaning of life?What is the liberation of life and death?If you do not understand, realize, or do it, then all efforts in the world will be to lose the root of the root and pursue the end. The flowers, water and moon cannot make people live without regrets and life without regrets.Therefore, understanding the reality of life, understanding the meaning of life, and liberating the bondage of life and death are the most important topics in our life.Those who care about life and death are those who truly cherish life;Those who do life and death are those who truly affirm themselves.

1. The reality of life

What is the reality of life?In the "Body's Performing Persona Sutra", the Buddha said a metaphor for King Shengguang: There was a man who was chased by evil elephants in the wilderness, frightened and fled, helpless and helpless.He saw an empty well with a tree root beside it, so he climbed down along the tree root and hid in the well.At this time, two black and white mice were biting the roots of the tree.On four sides of this well, there are four poisonous snakes. They want to snatch this person, and at the bottom of the well, there is a poisonous dragon.This person is very afraid of dragons and snakes, and fears that the tree roots will be broken.However, this man saw that there was a lot of honey on the roots of the tree and was greedy for sweet taste, so he licked five drops.At this time, the wind blew the tree and the bees flew everywhere, wanting to snatch this person, and wildfire burned the tree.King Shengguang asked the Buddha: Why did this person suffer infinite suffering and still seek a little sweetness in front of him?The World Honored One tells King Shengguang: The Great King, the wilderness is like the long night of ignorance in the six realms of reincarnation. This person is like the sentient beings, the evil image is like the impermanence, the well is like the life and death, the root of the tree is like life, the two black and white rats are like day and night, the biting of the tree is like birth and death, the four poisonous snakes are like the four elements of the body, the honey is like the five desires, the bees are like evil thoughts, the wild fire is like old age and sickness, and the poisonous dragon is like death.Therefore, the king should know that birth, old age, sickness and death are very scary. He should miss it and not be swallowed by the five desires.

Think calmly, people in the world are just as the Buddha said, greedy for the five desires in front of them, and forget the danger of old age, sickness and death.Isn’t it fearful to pursue evil images?The two black and white rats are invading life day and night, aren’t they panic?Also, the sufferings of all physical bodies and the difficulty of the God of Death are not afraid?"Dharma Sentences and Metaphor Sutra". "The Heart and Spirit" says: People in the world do not know impermanence, they will let go of the six emotions, and their external demons will be able to get the flow, and their bodies will be bad and their spirits will be gone;Life and death are unwarranted, the five paths of revolve around, and the hundreds of thousands of sufferings are all created by the mind.People in the world are enslaved by profit and desire, only seeking wealth and glory, and not seeking liberation from life and death. They are like moths throwing candles at night, and like birds fond of rotten rats.A wise person should realize the falsehood of the world, and only the Buddha is the only true one, seeking life and death with all his heart, and he will overcome the chakra of suffering.

2. Life must be death

Life is what I do not want;Death is what I do not want, but since I am a human being, who can never die?"The Wuchang Jing" says: All living people return to death, their appearance will fade away, and they will be invaded by strong diseases, and they will be unable to avoid the death.It is also said: The supreme World Honored Ones, the Shrines of the Shrines of the Only Awakening, and the Ones, still give up the impermanent body, let alone ordinary people?Parents, wives, brothers and relatives, witnessing the separation of life and death, why not worry about sighing?

《According to the Miscellaneous Parable Sutra, there was an old mother in the past, but only one son. After getting sick, she died. The old mother was guarding the corpse of her son in the cemetery, feeling sad and thought to herself: I only have one son to prevent her old age. Now I die by giving up my life. What's the use of me?So I wanted to die with my son, and after four or five days, I didn't drink or eat.After the Buddha found out, he brought five hundred monks to the cemetery.My mother saw the Buddha coming from afar, and her power and lightness were bright, and she paid homage to the Buddha.The Buddha told my mother: Why are you in the cemetery?The old mother replied to the World Honored One: I have only one son, I will die if I give up my heart. I have a strong love for you and want to die together.The Buddha told my mother: Want your son to come back to life?The old mother said happily: I really miss it, World Honored One.Buddha: When you go to a family where no one has died, you should ask for a good incense. I will be a mantra to rebirth your son.So my mother made fire and asked when she saw someone: Have you ever died in your family before?People replied: Yes, all ancestors were dead.My mother asked dozens of families and the answers were the same. So before I got the fire, she returned to the Buddha's place and respectfully reported to the World Honored One: World Honored One, I have traveled to dozens of families to ask for fire, but no one is dead, so I returned empty-handed.The Buddha told my mother: Since the creation of heaven and earth, there has been no one who has never died. Why are you confused and want to die with your son?This story is about showing the truth that life must be dead. Even if the Buddha is alive, he cannot reborn those who must be dead. Only by practicing liberation can one live forever.

3. No regular death

As the saying goes: The King of Hell is destined to die in the third update, and no one will be left after the fifth update.The terribleness of death lies in its unpredictability, whether it is men, women, young or old, wealth, poverty, and humbleness, everyone has equal opportunities.Therefore, the "Sutra of the Yao" says: When you see it in the morning, you will not appear at night;What I saw yesterday will be nothing tonight;I am young and have no parents to live with. The few people die, and countless men and women are there.It is also said: Some people are in the fetus and have been born outside and die. They cannot avoid death in their prime and are willing to suffer in their old age.It is also said: This day has passed, and life will decrease as soon as possible;Like a few fish in water, what's the fun?The Mahamaya Sutra also says: It is like Chandra, which drives a cow and slaughter the place, and is approaching the death of the land step by step, and human life is frightened.The "Samadhi Sutra of Sitting on Meditation" also says: Today, I will do this karma and do that tomorrow. Those who are happy will not observe suffering and will not realize that they will die.If you are in a hurry to do your own business, you will not be idle. If you die, you will not be able to escape the fate.

《Dharma sentences are like scriptures. "The Impermanence" records: When the Buddha was preaching to his disciples in the Gion Temple, he had a daughter of Brahma. She was fourteen or five years old. She had a good appearance, smart and eloquent personality, and her father loved her very much.However, the woman suddenly died of serious illness, and the pastoral wheat was burned by wildfires.After this double blow, Brahma Zhi was worried and worried, frustrated and dazed, like a madman who could not resolve himself.He heard that the Buddha was a great saint and a teacher of heaven and man. He preached the scriptures and could make people forget their worries and eliminate troubles. So Brahma went to the Buddha's place and knelt down to the Buddha's words: I have no son, but I only have a daughter who loves me very much, but she suddenly fell seriously ill and died of me. I mourn and sympathize, and I can't overcome my feelings. I only hope that the World Honored One will bring spiritual enlightenment and release my worries.The Buddha told Brahma: There are four things in the world that cannot be obtained for a long time. What are the four things?One is always constant, and the other is rich and noble, and the other is poor and humble. The three are together and separate. The four is strong and strong. The one is dead.From this we can see that death is ruthless and irregular. It may not be that old age will die, and the father will die first.

4. No reliance on death

Death is lonely, irresponsible, and irreplaceable. Therefore, the "Amitabha Sutra" says: People are in the world, in love and desire, they live and die alone, and they go alone and come alone.The "Sutra of the Six Directions of the Crying Gala" says: There is no relative to you who can rely on you and there is no place to hide it. The blessings of heaven are still ending, so how can human life last?"Out of the Yao Sutra." "The Impermanence" says: It is not a son who relies on it, nor is it a father or brother. It is forced by death and has no relatives to protect you.Thousands of different people are different. Men and women in the clan and surname, and they all accumulate wealth and are decayed.Therefore, we know that no matter parents, brothers, relatives, relatives, or high property, they cannot resist the impermanence of death. When they are dying, everything must be abandoned.Not only can relatives and property not be kept from death, but even magical powers cannot avoid death."Out of the Yao Sutra." "The Impermanence" records that when the Buddha was alive, there were four brothers of Brahma in the city of Raja. Each of them had five powers. He knew that they would be exhausted after seven days. He wanted to avoid death. He discussed using his supernatural powers to hide in the void, the sea, the mountains, and the market. When the seventh day expired, each of them would die.Therefore, the World Honored One said: It is neither empty nor in the sea, nor in the mountains and rocks, there is no place to escape from the end and not to suffer death.

5. Liberation of life and death

Looking closely at our life, even if we have a wealth of wealth, we will only show our momentary glory;Even if a great king is only able to gain power for one day.Human life is impermanent, and life must be dead. If you have seventy years old, how many years can you live?Like the lightning of stone, fire, lightning, water, grass and frost, it is empty when there is temporarily. What's the value?The unchanging truth in the world is that glory is fleeting and good times are not constant.Master Fa Ran said: fame and fortune are the hindrance of life and death, and the iron net of the three stratas;Named is the wings of rebirth and climbing to the ninth-level lotus platform.Therefore, only by riding the original wish of Amitabha, reciting the six-character great name, turning ordinary people into saints, becoming Buddhas and ancestors, turning short-term into eternity, getting rid of all sufferings and obtaining wonderful happiness, and only then can one obtain liberation in life and death and life have true meaning.The teachings of great masters in ancient and modern times at the end of their lives encourage us to chant Buddha's name and be reborn in the West. Master Yin Guang said: Everyone should chant Buddha's name, make a vow, and be reborn in the West.Master Sheng'an said: Life and death are important, and it is enough to purify one's mind and recite the Buddha's name.Master Lianchi said: Everyone chants Buddha’s name honestly.Master Tanluan said: Working for life and service will stop without a day;All the sufferings in hell must be afraid;Nine-level pure karma must be practiced.Master Baoxiang said: Reciting Buddha’s name is the first priority, and do not waste the world, and treat each other in the West.Master Zu Xin said: I hope that all benevolent people will diligently recite the Buddha's name and meet you early.Master Daoche said: The sufferings of the Saha world cannot be said or said;The joy of the Pure Land cannot be said or said.If you remember it, just recite Amitabha Buddha, you will meet soon.Missing this life is a long cycle of night, it hurts!How painful!Why do all the teachers persuade the Buddha to chant the Buddha's name when they are parting?Reciting the Buddha's name will lead to rebirth, because it depends on the Buddha's original wish.

Zen Master Deathful said: People's wealth is like a mountain, and their wives and concubines are full of joy day and night, fighting for their future is limited, and they are urging each other in secret. They are not allowed to be stagnant. Yama Laozi is not in line with human feelings. What is the appearance of the Impermanent Ghost King?And according to everyone's eyes and ears, there are so many deaths in the streets and alleys, relatives, friends and brothers, and strong young people.People in the world come to chant Buddha's name in the cloudy years, but don't they know that there are no old or young on the road to the underworld?The ancients said: Don’t wait until you are old before chanting Buddha’s name. Most of the lonely graves are young people.Master Shandao's verse to persuade the world: Gradually, he will see how he walks in a long and beautiful way, and he will inevitably suffer from decay, old age and illness;No matter how happy you are, impermanence will eventually come. Only by practicing through the path, just recite Amitabha Buddha.The advice of the masters is indeed the key to liberation from life and death.

Human life is impermanent, and the next life is changing, and the world is constantly connected, and the hooks are locked.If you cannot be depressed by the dust and fatigue, let go of your hands, make a vow and do your best, how can you recite Amitabha and be reborn in that Pure Land?Faith, wish and sincerely pray for the Buddha's children, and advise them to act with one mind.

If you let go of the false mind of the five desires and turn against the earthly worlds of the three realms, you can transcend the ordinary;

When you mention the Bodhicitta of the six characters and combine the enlightenment of the true nature, you can become a saint.
