Master Jingkong replied: Our purpose is to eliminate evil and cultivate good, and to recite the Buddha's name to seek rebirth in the Pure Land.Everyone has this wish, but in fact, many people chant Buddha's name, but not many people are reborn.What is the reason for this?Of course there are obstacles here. If the obstacle cannot be eliminated, it will definitely not be able to be reborn.The ancients said it very well: "If you recite Amitabha with your mouth and your heart is distracted, it will be in vain to shout to your throat!"We should always remember this sentence and use it to be vigilant at all times. Why can't we be reborn when we recite the Buddha's name?The mind is distracted.The Amitabha Sutra tells us that the purpose of chanting Buddha's name is "one mind and not confused". If you recite it with one mind and not confused, you will definitely be reborn.If you cannot achieve one's mind and undistractedness in reciting the Buddha's name, you will be unreliable for rebirth.Why can't we be one-stop?What is the reason for this?We must find out this reason and eliminate this reason. The obstacles to rebirth without regressing to become a Buddha will be gone.

And this obstacle is still delusion, discrimination, and attachment. We cannot let go of it.Don’t know the truth of the universe and life, and don’t understand the facts of karma, cause and effect. This is because you have not seen through it, so you can’t let go of your troubles and habits.If you cannot practice the Buddha's name effectively, you cannot suppress your afflictions and habits, and you will still be unable to be reborn in the Buddha's name.Are there any benefits to chanting Buddha’s name?There must be benefits. If you have a connection with Amitabha Buddha and plant a distant cause, you will not receive any results in this life. If you wait for the next life, or wait for the next life, Buddhism says that cause and effect are connected to the three lives.Life determines the birth, but I don’t know when, or after many great disasters, it’s hard to say.Why?The opportunity to encounter the method of chanting Buddha's name is very rare. It is not only "it is difficult to encounter in hundreds of thousands of kalpas." Mr. Peng Jiqing said it well, "It is rare to have a day in countless kalpas." If you encounter this method, it is rare to have a day in countless kalpas, and he cannot say it too much.So when we encounter this fate, you must know to cherish it. You know that it is difficult to encounter. That is, your wisdom appears. If you seize the opportunity, let go of all fates, and if you refuse to let go, it will cause obstacles.

You should know that all kinds of fates in the world and beyond are false and not real.Those who recite the Buddha's name will live with the flow and recognize their goals and directions. They must let go of their right and wrong in this world, their five desires and six dusts, their greed, anger, ignorance and arrogance.Things that help all sentient beings should be done, but after doing it, you should not be stubborn in your heart. If you stubborn in your heart, you will be wrong and will cause obstacles.To learn from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to save sentient beings, you must have the three wheels of emptiness, do things seriously, do them well, be perfect, have a pure heart, and be spotless.This method is right, there are no obstacles, it is really a practice of both blessing and wisdom.If you refuse to help others, you will cultivate wisdom but not blessings, and you will have no blessings, and you will have no fate with sentient beings.We must make Dharma connections with sentient beings, pure and equal Dharma connections, and the consequences are extremely special.Anyone who cannot be reborn by reciting the Buddha's name is that he has too much selfishness, especially the barrier of fame and fortune cannot be broken through. This is our biggest obstacle, and we must be enlightened ourselves.A worldly proverb often says, "If you don't bring it in life, you won't take it in death." Since you can't take it, why should you be nostalgic?Why do you have to be serious?You should let go of what you can't take with you, and be very cautious when you can take with you.What can be brought with you?"Only karma is with you." The good and evil karma you have created will be brought with you, and will never be destroyed in the eight consciousness fields. You will take this with you.

Every sentence that the Buddha said to us is true. We understand that from now on, we must reform ourselves and respond to good thoughts.Don’t say the standards of goodness too high or too deep, that is something we cannot do. The Buddha sets the lowest standard for us: the Five Precepts and Ten Virtues.Recently, Master Yin Guang has vigorously advocated the "Four Lessons of the World", "The Reactions" and "The Complete Book of Anshi" throughout his life. He used these three things to educate modern sentient beings. We observe carefully and think calmly, and he has true and perfect wisdom.In order to help the suffering beings of this generation, overcome great disasters and avoid disasters, these three books can indeed achieve results.The ancestors advocated that we must not ignore it.Ancient great masters often taught us to keep precepts and recite the Buddha's name. The three books mentioned by Master Yin are precepts. Although they are not Buddhist scriptures, what the content says is exactly in line with the Buddha's Dharma Seal, that is, "Don't do any evil, do all good, and purify their own minds, which is all Buddhists."Do you open these three books and do they correspond to this verse?This verse is the seal of the Buddhas.Therefore, we can determine these three books that are what the Buddhas say, it is the teachings of all sentient beings, the agreements of all Buddhas and Tathagatas, and affirmation of all Buddhas and Tathagatas.Sure enough, you can follow the teachings, and you can respond to your thoughts and words. You will be reborn in the Pure Land by reciting the Buddha's name and seeking rebirth.

This is a confusion without realizing it, and his karma and disaster will not be easily resolved.For truly enlightened people, disasters can be avoided.There are also other religions that those who believe in God will be saved, and those who do not believe will not be saved.This is right, it is very correct.How to say "believe in God"?Believe in God’s advice and believe in God’s teachings and you will be saved.What is God’s teaching?In foreign religions, the Ten Commandments are the Ten Virtues, and in China, you know that practicing the Ten Virtues is born in the way of heaven.The Buddhist scriptures tell us that the heavens in the desire realm are born by practicing the ten virtues, and the heavens in the form realm are born by practicing the ten virtues, meditation, and the four immeasurable minds.If there is a wish and a practice after faith, if there is no wish and a practice after faith, that faith will be lost.Faith, aspiration and practice, one to three, three to one, and one to one, and one cannot achieve anything without one.Therefore, faith must have vows and actions.
