Why do all Buddhas see that all sentient beings are Buddhas

1In the great sutra "Amitabha Sutra", the Buddha proposed the purpose of practice for us, "to develop the Bodhicitta and always concentrate on chanting.""Growing the Bodhicitta" means faith and aspiration, and "always concentrate on reciting" means holding the name. These two sentences are the three resources of "faith, aspiration and practice" mentioned in the small "Amitabha Sutra", and these three are indispensable.

2“It is very important to develop the Bodhicitta!"Bodhi" is a Sanskrit word, translated into Chinese means enlightenment.Our true nature is not only enlightenment, but also perfect enlightenment.Therefore, the Buddha told us in the Great Sutra that all sentient beings originally became Buddhas.The Buddhas see that all sentient beings are indeed Buddhas, which is not false at all, but we ordinary people do not recognize ourselves as Buddhas, so there is no way!

3This statement is really not easy to understand. Let’s use the metaphor of ancient masters. The ancients said, “Gold is used as instruments, and all instruments are gold.”Comparing our true heart to gold, we are vessels made of gold.Why do all Buddhas see that all sentient beings are Buddhas?He thinks it is of quality.No matter which kind of vessel, its nature is made of gold, and gold is the Tathagata and gold is the Buddhas.Ordinary people forget their nature and become attached to appearances.

4For example, we are a Buddha statue made of gold. The gold placed there is a personal statue, the gold placed here is a beast statue, and a puppy or kitten is the same weight.Gold has equal weight and equal value, but it is made in different shapes.Those who can watch it said that he was watching gold, no different, no matter how many appearances he saw were.

5When all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas look at sentient beings in the nine Dharma realms, they look at their nature.Nature is the Dharma nature, and this aspect is the Dharma realm aspect.There are differences in appearances, but there is no difference in nature. Therefore, from the perspective of nature, all sentient beings are Buddhas and Tathagatas.All living beings forget their nature and completely attach to appearances, "This is Buddha, that is human, that is animal." If they are attached to appearances, they will not see nature.Lost your own nature, this confusion, everything is confusing!Only in the confusion can right and wrong, self, and greed, anger, ignorance, and arrogance. There is no such thing in the true nature.

6Master Huineng said it well in the "Platform Sutra" that there is nothing in his own nature.We lose our nature and fall into illusion.I enforce the law, right and wrong, self, fame, fortune, greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, are all manifested in delusions, and there is indeed no such thing in my own nature.

7The Buddha sees the self-nature of sentient beings, and they are all Buddha natures, no different from all Buddhas and Tathagatas.The self-nature is eternal, and will not change with emotion, and will never change, and will never be born or destroyed.What will change is the appearance. When appearance changes, the appearance will have birth and death, but the nature will not have birth and death. You must understand this principle!

8Our practice should focus on our mind and nature, and understand our mind and nature. Only in this way can we transcend the ten Dharma realms, not only the six realms, but also transcend the ten Dharma realms!If you transcend the ten Dharma realms, you can help suffering sentient beings in the ten Dharma realms.What to help them?Break through ignorance and be enlightened, get rid of suffering and gain happiness.
