When you truly accept this task, you must change from passive to active.This is a very dialectical truth.If we take the initiative to do something, those who accept your idea, those who accept your thing will definitely give you many conditions, and the initiative will become passive;I am now passively doing something. After you accept this task, you can also make appropriate requests to the relevant parties who ask you to do this, which is often smoother.When the conditions for a thing are ripe, it is easier for the relevant parties to provide necessary conditions.I think this is a spirit of Buddhism to follow the circumstances, a working method, and a way of dealing with people and the world.Everything is fate. Do it when the fate is ripe. Don’t force it if the fate is not ripe.If you force yourself to do it, you can't do anything even if you put in a lot of effort.Studying Buddhism, following causes and conditions, and paying attention to causes and conditions is a fundamental principle of Buddhism and a fundamental principle of life Zen.We practice life Zen and put forward the concept of life Zen, which is also in line with the cause and condition of this era.By putting forward the concept of life Zen in accordance with the causes and conditions of this era, it is possible for this era to gradually recognize and accept it.If the concept of life Zen was proposed thirty years ago, it might be criticized.Why do you say so?Because the thought of Buddhism on earth has been around for seventy or eighty years since its introduction.exist" ***”In the past, it was not unaware of the thoughts of human Buddhism, but it was the object of criticism.Why criticize?Because at that time, religion was already something that was about to decline, and you changed your appearance and advocated human Buddhism, and you wanted to struggle dyingly.This is how the logic at that time explained.Today's explanation is different. Today is to say "Human Buddhist thought can adapt to today's society." We must also closely cooperate with the government's relevant plans and ideas. This is from one aspect of patriotism.If we consider it from the perspective of loving religion, restoring the ancestor temple is the duty of our Buddhist disciples.We Buddhist disciples should be patriotic and love the teachings.Fundamentally speaking, loving religion means attaching great importance to the belief construction and Taoist style construction in the Buddhist community. This is a concrete manifestation of loving religion.If you do not pay attention to the construction of faith and Taoist style, loving education will become a slogan without any practical content.Laozu Temple can be said to be a pure land on earth, an undeveloped and uncontaminated land, which can remain relatively closed from the outside world.This temple is truly built and managed well, which is conducive to the construction of the faith and Taoist style of the temple, and is conducive to working hard here to promote Buddhism, and guide the common practice.So from the depth of my thoughts, I attach great importance to the construction of Laozu Temple, hoping to cultivate it into a fundamental temple for promoting life Zen and a temple for Buddhism to move from tradition to modernity.We must not only inherit the tradition locally, but also do everything possible to adapt to the contemporary ideological trend.The fundamental principle of Buddhist promotion is to understand the principles and opportunities.The so-called principle means inheriting the Buddha's mantle and carrying forward the fine traditions of Buddhism;The so-called opportunity is to truly understand what kind of needs there are for Buddhism in today's society and how we should meet this needs.The Zen of the Buddhist life on earth is a new Buddhist concept that has developed to this day and solved the spiritual emptiness and mental illness of human beings today.In the future, Laozu Temple will focus on meditation and will have a larger meditation hall.The meditation hall has two floors, a large meditation hall downstairs, and three small meditation halls upstairs.If there are many people, we use the Great Zen Hall;If there are few people, use the small meditation hall;No matter how many people there are, the Zen Halls of all sizes can be used at the same time.I hope to make Laozu Temple a temple for practice, a temple for meditation, and a temple for the four groups to practice together.Speaking of the four groups of people practicing together, we also have a temple for monks - Luhua Temple, which is near the Sizu Temple.Luhua Temple will be the meditation center of nuns in the future, with the focus on guiding women to practice together.The future tasks and goals of Luhua Temple are basically the same as those of Laozu Temple.Because we are mountains and forest temples, we have finally had this pure land to provide a peaceful spiritual home for busy people in the downtown area and a cool and free Bodhi forest.Therefore, after the completion of Laozu Temple and Luhua Temple, they both have the main goal of practicing meditation.The construction progress of Luhua Temple may be a little faster than Laozu Temple. All facilities in Luhua Temple can be basically opened this winter, and Laozu Temple cannot be fully utilized this winter.It turned out that our plan was to lay the foundation for the construction of the two temples at the same time, and we also wanted to be consecrated on the same day in the future, and the date of consecration will be consistent with the date of the foundation.Both temples were laid on October 5, 2005, and the two temples also try their best to hold consecration activities on this day.We don’t have a big deal about the consecration of these two places.The lay Buddhists who know come whenever they want, and those who don’t know will not invite them.You don’t invite the mountains or the elders, everything is handled by the people in this temple.Because everything in the temples in the mountains is inconvenient, everything should be let nature take its course, but it should be solemn and grand.The so-called solemnity and solemnity are expressed in the form of practice.For example, in order to thank the great Dharma protectors, both temples worshiped a "Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance" half a month or twenty days in advance at the same time, and were consecrated after worshiping the "Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance".It is done by your own people. Those who know the news will rejoice, and those who don’t know the news can also rejoice afterwards.I think it is very expensive to consecrate and regain your seat."The flute and sheng are rising.He is a powerful and imitated prince.The one-day consecration fee for Buddhism is so why only a hundred-day diet for ordinary people."It seems that I have written such a poem. I can't remember whether it is written clearly. I feel it.It’s very majestic to consecrate and reap the seat!The flute and sacred are blowing and beating, and are majestic. They come out like the marquis and kings of the past, as if they are far from the indifferent life of Buddhism.It is better to be more indifferent to Buddhism.Although our society is very rich, China's foreign exchange reserves now rank first in the world.But you should know that China is a country with a population of 1.3 billion, and there is not much foreign currency to be distributed to everyone.The second and third place may have a population of only 100 million or 200 million, and China cannot compare with them.In China, urban people should be relatively richer, office workers and civil servants should be relatively richer, and the lives of the vast majority of farmers are still very difficult.In provinces with relatively good per capita income in rural areas, a person costs about 5,000 yuan a year, which is very high.But compared with the people in the city and the richer people, there is still a big gap.What's more, there are provinces with per capita income of one or two thousand yuan.All of us here are those who spend money and those who use it. If a person’s income is only 2,000 yuan a year, everyone will say how to live this life?So I really hope that our Buddhist temples must live a poor life and a popular life.Don’t waste your donor’s money too much, and you must be careful in everything.Including some Dharma Assembly activities and consecration activities, try to save as much as possible, spend less money and do more work.Consecration should be combined with practice, not with extravagance and waste.Consecration is not combined with practice, consecration will not work;Only by combining it with practice can consecrate the Dharma Assembly truly have merits and can truly repay the donor, the public, the country, and the society.I have something to say today. In the future, the Buddha statues of Laozu Temple and Luhua Temple will be very indifferent to the consecration of them, without any souvenirs.Don’t complain when you come, and say what happened to consecrate here?No souvenirs are sent!I remember that Chen Feng, the boss of HNA, said that he is from Shanxi, and is very stingy and will not be generous with money.Although I am not from Shanxi, I came from a family that was poor to begging for food.When I was a child, life was very hard.“ ***”At that time, I spent fifteen years in the countryside and lived an extremely difficult life.It can be said that there is no food consumed by rats at home.I know very well that every porridge and rice is hard-earned, so I am very stingy in my work.Because I save every penny for the public and every penny for the permanent residence. I am very careful in my budget and never spend a penny indiscriminately.It is only necessary to use it on the Three Jewels, such as solemn Buddha statues, and to cultivate the Buddha hall well, and to make the place where monks practice together a little more pure and clean.But life must be poor.Li Shangyin, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, has a famous saying: "Learn from the country and family of the predecessors, success comes from diligence and thrift, failure comes from extravagance."Luxury will fail, pride will fail.The so-called arrogant soldiers will be defeated, and the sad soldiers will be defeated.We will be humble, softer, lower ourselves, and think that we are always at the bottom, and always at the bottom, then we will be calm.I always think what I am and what I am. If I don’t follow the rules, I feel that I can’t get over the face. That’s not good.Always take yourself as low as you see, look at yourself as a small person, be idle clouds and wild cranes, come and go freely.If you keep a low profile at all times and in all places, you can truly do something real for Buddhism and the four groups of disciples.Therefore, the consecration of Laozu Temple and Luhua Temple will be very low-key, but you must do a good job in practicing and don’t just join in the fun.Joining in the fun won't play the role it should.In my ideal, if Laozu Temple can live in 30 to 50 monks for a long time in the future, it will be able to drive this place, practice and study in accordance with the Dharma, and there will often be about 100 lay Buddhists practicing together here.There can’t be too many, too many people will be crowded.What if there are many people asking for it?Adopt the method of phased batches.How many people can be accepted in this month and how many people can be accepted in the next month, take a turn for you to come here to practice, take turns to breathe the "five-star" air here, and live a life of "one-star" or less than "one-star".The air is very good and living conditions may be very poor. Don’t dislike it.In the future, the same will be true for Luhua'an.Laozu Temple is easy to spend in summer and difficult winter.It is extremely cold here. The temperature in winter is almost the same as in Hebei, reaching minus 700 degrees Celsius, and there is no heating equipment, so it is quite cold.I think that in the future, if there are too many houses built, the house is dry, and if there are more people living there, it may be warmer.This is also a kind of exercise.If the conditions are too good and comfortable, it is not necessarily a good thing.I lived in Sizu Temple for a few days last winter and my ears were frozen.It doesn’t matter if your ears are frozen, it will not affect your hearing.Some people's hands are frozen like big buns, but they can still hold things without any broken skin and flesh, which doesn't matter.A person should train more in hardships.The same is true for the people here. There is no heating equipment at home and it is also cold.After a long time, I get used to it.It’s probably less than a month’s hardest time, just get through this month.Today, many people are here for the first time.After I come, I hope everyone can like this place and then make plans when I go back - I have to stay at Laozu Temple for a few days every year, or a month, or a half month, or a few times a year.I come a lot, and I stay for ten or eight days each time;I came here few times, so I lived there for a month.Because it is not easy to come here once, the road is far away.If you like this, come here more often.You can also reveal this news to your fellow practitioners: If you want to practice, you can go to Laozu Temple, which is a long-lived temple, a cool temple, and a poor temple.
