4. How do karma gather

According to the scriptures and the ancestors, there are several reasons for the gathering of karma:

1.From greed, anger, and ignorance

The Bodhisattva thought that during the long process of life and death in the past life, due to the three poisons of greed, anger, and ignorance, he activated the three gates of body, speech and mind to create countless evil karma. Assuming that the evil karma created is visible in nature and visible in appearance, the vast void also appears narrow and cannot accommodate so many karma.Such karma leads practitioners to enter the three evil realms and suffer great pain. When it is near, it is hindered from the results of the good realms of human and heavenly beings, and when it is far, it is hindered from the results of liberation of the shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas.

2.From ignorance

Since time immemorial, right and wrong have been unclear, like a foolish dog, running out of his heart. We should restrain our body and mind and reflect on our thoughts and actions every day, and then we will suddenly wake up and bow our heads to confess our sins.At this point, I believe that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s golden words are true. The sentient beings in southern Yanbu have deep karma, small roots of goodness, strong afflictions, narrow minds, and weak minds. They are just doing small good deeds, but they retreat. Their thoughts and actions are nothing more than sins.It is not necessary to say that in the beginningless kalpa, just like the ten evil karmas committed by killing, stealing, adultery, and lying in the past few dozen colds and heat, breaking the precepts of liberation, destroying the Bodhisattva's rules, and committing the Vajra Samadhi and other sins, which are already a mountain of sins and a sea of ​​karma.There is no way to good and good fortune, but only people will call you, and good and evil will be rewarded like shadows.As the scripture says, "If the karma created will not perish after hundreds of thousands of kalpas, the cause and condition will be met, and the consequences will be borne by oneself."This is a law that cannot be changed. We can only accept it, but we cannot take advantage of it, and we cannot escape it.Once such many evil karma and sins are mature, you can only go to the three evil realms and taste the cups of bitter wine you brewed.

3.From worries

If you have troubles, you will create all evil karma. The evil karma is the cause and the result of suffering is felt.Various sutras and treatises use various metaphors to blame troubles. Troubles are enemies, and can eliminate the wisdom and life of sentient beings;This is a thief who robs all the good deeds of sentient beings;This is a waterfall that can float sentient beings into the sea of ​​great suffering of life and death;It is shackles that can tie sentient beings to life and death prisons.The six realms are connected, the three realms are endless, the evil karma is endless, and the suffering is endless. You should know that they are all troubles and disadvantages.Although there are various kinds of troubles, they are generally filled with the three poisons.The "Avatamsaka Sutra" says: The three karmas of greed, anger, and ignorance can enable sentient beings to enter the three evil realms.Even if people are poor and lonely, fierce and violent, stupid and ignorant.The mind is confused, the mind is ignorant, and the ignorant troubles that cannot understand the truth.The arrogance of being arrogant, being arrogant, and despising others.Hesitation and troubles of doubting the Dharma and not believing in the Three Jewels.Slander the evil views and troubles of no cause and effect and not believing in the three lives of reincarnation.The real attachment to evil views is not known to the emptiness of dependent origination and nature, and the attachment to the nature of dependent origination and attachment.Greedy and stingy.The unrestrained troubles of not controlling the six senses and randomly catching up.The mind is ill and lazy and troubled.Rough and powerful are difficult to reconcile, and are prone to anger, fierce and vicious troubles.The afflictions that hinder precepts, concentration and wisdom, the afflictions that hinder the practice of the thirty-seven Bodhi parts, the afflictions that hinder the six paramitas, the afflictions that hinder the two kinds of liberation, and all the afflictions that hinder the Buddha's constant merits.The saints and all sentient beings are annoyed and boundless troubles.With so many troubles, we really have deep karma.Therefore, troubles are one of our very important sources of karma.

According to the summary of the previous generations, our karma is mainly caused by nameless afflictions and greed, anger, and ignorance.So where is the main manifestation? That is our ten evils.The mind of us ordinary people is always circulating in delusions, so karma arises.Greed, anger, and ignorance, these delusions are the root cause of confusion in life. If confusion occurs, wrong thoughts, words and deeds will result in all kinds of pain in life, because mistakes in thoughts, words and deeds will lead to all kinds of pain in life.Since time immemorial, we have been "creating confusion, creating karma, and reminiscing fruits". Karma is as boundless and endless as the sea.Although delusions are not real, they can create karma;Although karma is not real, it can affect the suffering and happiness of the three realms, causing us to live in vain and die in the three realms, and have no end to the end.

Our ten evil deeds are mainly manifested in our bodies and three (Kill, steal, and commit adultery )，Mouth four (Abusive words, lies, frivolous words, two tongues )，Idiot Three (Greed, anger, ignorance )。

The ten evil karma mentioned above are the ten evil karma we often create mind karma due to nameless afflictions, and then the consciousness drives the body and mouth to create endless evil karma.Samantabhadra Bodhisattva said: In the past, I have been greed, anger, and ignorance. Greed, anger, and ignorance are created in my mind and intentional karma!Are you committing evil deeds, greed, anger and ignorance!When you express your body, speech and mind, this time you will be the three karma. All the body, speech and mind are creating karma. If you don’t talk about good karma, just talk about doing evil karma, how many evil karma are there?Infinite and boundless!If this evil karma has volume, fortunately, the sin created by the Alaya consciousness has no volume. If it has volume, even if the volume is very small, as small as a grain of dust, then these dusts accumulated to this day after the beginning of time, the Bodhisattva said that this void cannot be contained. How many sins have you committed?We often create karma without knowing it, and we never stop creating karma, twenty-four hours a day, and we are still dreaming when we sleep, and we are still creating karma!Moreover, if we think about the karma we create, we have more evil karma and less good karma. This is what we just said, we always think about ourselves whenever we have thoughts!If you think of others, it is mostly harmful to others and benefit yourself. This is a bad cause. How many thoughts have you had to harm yourself and benefit others?We have had several thoughts, so after carefully checking and reflecting, we will find that what the Bodhisattva said is absolutely true. We have too many evil karma.So it can be said that it is intended to keep thinking, talking nonsense, and doing things nonsense.The result of random thoughts is to act rashly and talk nonsense.
